Already saw that video. Whoo hoo, completely non-violent photography based game-play on the African plains for prestige and points. Bring it on. I'm totally getting this game.

I'll be picking this one up when it's released.

I this supposed to be sort of like Nintendo's game where you go deep sea diving in a consequence free environment for the sake of exploring animal and plant life for that given environment?

Pretty much, although the PS3 will also be getting that same kind of aquatic exploration game with the one that started it all, the latest iteration of Aquanaut's Holiday.

But yeah, basic premise is you take photography assignments at your base camp, requiring you to get certain photos (ie, Giraffe drinking at water hole) and then you upload those photos via laptop and receive points based on the quality of the photo. The points can then be used to upgrade camera and camera equipment.

Of course, it's not totally consequence free. If you watched the video, you'll notice that if you get too close, you can spook the animals, and while some will merely run away, others will charge you, causing you to get knocked out and auto-return to the base camp to recover.

I don't care how sissy it is, I'm looking forward to this game.

I agree. If I am going to hunt animals you can bet that it's not going to be in a video game. I live in Michigan so enough said. Granted we don't have lions and tigers this side of the pond but deer is good enough for me. Besides I'm sure that deer would taste better than lion or tiger.

Depends on where in the state.... Metro detroit isn't any more or less hunting enthusiastic than anywhere else in the nation... But then if you live in the UP you'll get a free holiday every hunting season because no one shows up to work/school anyway...

The game looks like an old 3d Mark Benchmark.

I concur on the boring...I didn't like Pokemon Snap. So, I'm sure I won't like Afrika.

This boycott was started out of respect for the artist. As we all know...Sony or MM don't have any.

It could be interesting, if done properly. We shall see.
