Default Rachet and Clank: Quest for Boot-ay!

Anyone downloaded and played it yet? I played the first one and loved it, yet have heard nothing about it. I saw it's on PSN for download, but unfortunatley I'm not going to be getting it till it's on BD.

I'm surprised nobodies mentioned it yet considering how popular the first one was.

It's $15 I think, but from the reviews I heard it's basically like 1 mission. IDK though.

It's pretty short and not very meaningful, and not really as exciting as the full game was. Actually it was pretty boring to me. Seems one could skip it and not miss much waiting for the next R&C game next year.

I'll wait for a 10 dollar sale on this.

Same $10 or less and I will get it.

I got it, and I enjoyed. It has all the polish of a disc based game, and actually has been tweaked to look slightly slicker than its Blu-Ray descendant, but the length will definitely be a concern for some. I agree with a lot critic remarks that the R&C is essentially not a short, episodic game, and that you really feel the lack of a full fledged disc game with this title. There's little motivation to upgrade your weapons, and little motivation to explore the hidden areas since it would mean having to start the game all over again, rather than use the planetary hub-based system of the previous title to allow you to revisit areas anytime you like. Here the linear nature of the game ensures that if you want to explore an area, with the exception of Hoolifar island (or whatever it's called) you have to explore the level while you're there, because you never visit it again.

Myself, I'm happy I got the game and had a lot of fun with it, but I can see how people looking for more bang for the buck could definitely criticize it. It's really more of a hold-over for fans than it is a legitimate full on DLC game.
