Default Rumor: PS3 firmware update 2.5 to have screen grabbing built in

http://www.computerandvideogames.com....php?id=195878

Quote:
CVG has learnt that Sony's next firmware update for PlayStation 3 will include an option for screen grabbing, allowing you to take your own shots of what you get up to on your PS3.
that could be nice for comparison shots. no more tripods setup cameras to take pictures.

Yes this would be great for uploading great battle scenes.

would be nice if they supported direct uploads to photobucket or such like PJ:Eden does with youtube.

The Eden YT feature is nice on paper but the execution is terrible. You need to sit there and wait for it to upload, instead they should offer bg uploading. So now I just have it store on my drive, and then I can manually save it to a flash drive and upload from my PC. Faster but I like the integration just wish it were faster.

I like this screen idea, hope it's true.

If this means also recording what happens onscreen, i would love this for games like Street Fighter 4. kinda like what they did in Third Strike.
Hope this is true.
