Default 360 and Optical cable issues?

Yo, I just tried hooking up my 360 to a Toslink cable, but it wouldn't go in all the way, just kept popping out. The cable is from Monoprice, http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2.

I also tried it in my A-30...no go. It is just difficult to get in? Do I need to force it in? What's the deal????

looks like the right cable, did you try spinning it some? Also, don't forget there's a HT Gear forum, this might be a good question for that forum.

I've had cables and such from monoprice that weren't quite right. The fit and finish may be offer just enough to not let it seat properly. I'd call them and tell them its crap. Usually they'll just send out another one. You can try to force it, and if you ruin the cable so what, but you don't want to ruin your xbox cables...THEY are expensive.

I have the same problem with an old Monster one I have. For some reason it doesn't snap very well into the 360's standard cables. However it does lock in perfectly into the Intec VGA cables I have too.

Mine doesn't lock into my optical port very well on my 360 either. If I move the 360 much it will fall out.

But, did you take the cap off the cable? You never know.....since you can't get it in at all. Or, make sure you have it lined up properly, they only go in one way.
