Default DreamCast game suggestions?

So... The Sega DreamCast was actually the first game console since the NES to actually get me interested in buying game consoles.... Unfortunetly, durring it's entire life span I never really was in a position to afford one, thus I never did end up buying one (going x-box much later on)....

For whatever reason, I ended up on ebay today and looked up prices on dreamcasts... Turns out I could get one with AV cables, power chord and a couple of controllers fully tested as functional and including 30 day warrentee all for $30... So I bit and soonish I should have a dreamcast... What I don't have, are games or an idea of what games to buy... So, any idea's on unique/fun titles for the system? There seem to be a good selection on ebay for under $5.

Try to get the VGA cable if you can...and then get a converter to component. The DC library is 480p. Yeah, way ahead of it's time.

Second, the Resident Evil titles...RE 2, RE 3, and RE Code Veronica are fantastic. The RE ports are the best versions out there. They beat the GC version, because everything is already unlocked. That's a huge plus.

Umm, I recommend Shenmue 1, Jet Grind Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Sonic Adventure 1, Soul Calibur, Power Stone 1 & 2(you'll be pissed they didn't continue it), Marvel Vs Capcom 1 & 2, and Toy Commander.

There's some others but I'm having a hard time remembering them. There was some high quality stuff released for the DC.

*whispers* You can actually download Dreamcast games if you know where to look. At one time it was necessary to use a separate boot loader but the groups that released them onto the interwebs were quickly able to include the bootloader onto the game image itself. Use Alcohol 120% in RAW-DAO mode et voila...

If you can manage to find the keyboard there's always The Typing Of The Dead Although that came out for the PC as well.

It was called Jet Set Radio in Japan, but given a name change in the USA as Jet Grind Radio.

The sequel/remake is Jet Set Radio Future for the Xbox.

Sword of The Berserk: Guts Rage. It's slightly rare. I've purchased the game twice, and sold it twice. Every time I beat it, I never think I'm going to want to play it again.

In Japan, it's known as Berserk Millennium Falcon.

There's a Japanese sequel just called Berserk. It's more a sequel to the anime series, then the previous game. It takes elements of Volume 15 to 26 or so. It's pretty much the same. The environments are more friendly for your sword, unlike the DC one. So, in that regard it's better.

It's all in Japanese, I own it...so, it isn't friendly to outsiders of the series. However, if you've read and watch the series then you'll be fine. Of course, the game specific story segment is completely over my head. There's a fan translation of those scenes....so you can figure it out.

Thought of a couple more:

Samba De Amigo (though you need the maracca controllers to fully enjoy it... or get the coming Wii version if you have one)
Ready 2 Rumble boxing.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, the RE titles are particularly tempting... I've got the remake for the NGC as well as zero and four so it'd be interesting to have the other games in the series for DC... I might consider Jet Set though I had JSRF for the x-box and it only got a little bit of play... Graphics were interesting though.

My DLP accepts VGA connections so I might just connect the DC that way, thanks for the tip there.
