if you didn't care for last year's madden, 09 isn't much different.

Just buy it, and join our Madden League. If you are a fan of Madden why skip? The graphics are loads better, great commentary, new gameplay, online leagues....It's all a great package. DO IT! Then join our league!! See link in my Sig.

I'm not pleased about the online league restrictions (no CPU controlled teams) and I don't think there's a chance in hell it will be changed.

if you have a 360, 09 madden has less issues than the ps3 version. that's the word going around online but it's up to you. i'd wait for a price drop, sale, get a used copy or rent it instead. graphics and gameplay are better but there tends to be freezing issues, out of sync and some glitching.

Every review says that gameplay glitching (has been apparent in ALL next gen football games) does not happen during playmaking. So while you are actually playing you get no skipping, but after-play is normally when it happens, same with 08'.

I disagree. It's much better than last years. The graphical upgrade alone was very good. The radio commentary from last year was horrible, this years two commentators are very good, although a little repetitive.

Those Play Breakdowns after a big play are awesome, the loading times and menu navigation in Franchise Mode, however, are not.

so far after 3 hours of play:

pros: virtual trainer. good for helping learn the little intracasies (sp?) of offense/defense. graphics/weather.

cons: online play. sucks as always.

wtf?: can still drop back 20 yards and long bomb. and its STILL high accuracy.
