I gotta go with Namco. But that wasn't easy.

I love Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Capcom vs Marvel, Dead or Alive, Virtua fighter etc...

As much as I love the Tekken and Soul Calibur series, I would have to put my vote on Capcom that started it all for my love on fighting games. Just brought me memories as a kid going to 7-11 after school with other kids taking turns on SFII.

Capcom wins. I love the other games and companies, well....except for midway/mortal kombat(dont like MK too much 'cept for shaolin monks).
That whole list under Capcom are pretty good games.
And Kudos to you Blu-bliss, you really outdone yourself with the information you gathered.

I actually started out playing Karate Champ....that was my first fighting game, when I was about 15 (If you guys have seen the movie "BloodSport"...they show Van Damme & Donald Gibb playing a round of Karate Champ) I remember I used to go this big arcade located in Flushing, Queens. They brought in the Original Street Fighter Arcade, the one with the joystick and Two huge Pad buttons that you had to bang real hard to get fierce or Roundhouse. The they brought in SF II "The World Warrior"....From that moment on I was hooked on this game...trying to learn the "Shoryuken" and "Hadoken" from all these Japanese kids that used to play there a lot. I would spend hours and hours, quarter after quarter just so that I can master Guile's Flash kick. Then they brought in SNK's King of fighters.....while it was very good...I was still going back to play Street fighter the most. That was the only game that made me play hooky!!
ahhh.... those used to be the days!!

High five for old school...

Capcom all the way... I like me some tekken, but street fighter is king...

and the original street fighter had machines with 2 buttons and 6 buttons... the 2 button one hurt sometimes...
