GTA IV: Parking Spots Don't Save Cars?
Hi, hoping I could get some clarity on this issue. Old GTA games, when you put a car in the garage, saved the game, and re-loaded later, the car would be there. I was under the impression the same would have in GTA IV. However, the cars I leave in the "Resident Parking" spot in front of the first safehouse you get does not save the cars I leave there when I turn off the game and reload later. Everything else saves properly (progress, weapons, etc), but never the cars. What gives? Is there something I am missing, or did they not include that in this game? I'm still early in the game, don't have another safehouse to test saving cars with.
Thanks for any answers in advance.

not to make you sound ignorant or anything, but just to clarify you are parking within the designated yellow lines right?

lol, no offense taken. Yes, I have tried multiple times to ensure that I am within the "Resident Parking" box lines and not up on the curb our outside in the street at all, I make sure the door shuts all the way and everything.
Update: I read some stuff online, appears to be a game save glitch that pops up from time to time, but once it does it can't be undone (or no one has figured out how to yet without starting over). Thanksfully only a few hours in, so I just restarted and it works fine now. Using multiple saves/frequently to ensure it does not happen again.

I have never had a car disappear from a saved spot and I usually park 2 at a time... Are you saving your game at the safehouse or through autosave?...

Strange Glitch. I keep a Turismo and a Coquette parked there all the time with no problems.

It is a glitch that does happen. From my understanding of reading up on others--and personal experience--it seems to be related to some confusion the game occasionally experiences when saving and reloading. I've had cars disappear on me on odd occasions from the safe house parking zone because I didn't feel like simply restarting a mission and hunting down armor and ammo all over again, and simply reloaded. Or when I randomly decided to reload a save for one reason or another.
It's not super common, but it's happened to me 2 or 3 times now over the last few days of playing. Shame too, I lost a Comet that way. -

where can we find a Comet?
There is always a Turismo beside the Faustin mansion (the rich area of Broker way down South.) -

I only got the Comet after doing the first race for Brucie.
As far as Turismos go, that's a dime a dozen. In Algonquin, just a couple of blocks west of your safe-house, there's actually an auto-dealership called "Groti" or something like that, which houses nothing but Turismos. Just pick a color and jack it. -
