Default My Dad Loves Pixeljunk Monsters!

My dad (just over 50 years of age) and I (24) played the Sony PSN game Pixeljunk Monsters last weekend for 3 hours. He likes simple games (chicken invaders) and I've never gotten him on a console game since Loadrunner for NES. We played two player, he played by himself and he's been picking it up ever since. My dad is a worker and NOT a gamer but he seems to love the Monsters. It is great fun, cheap at 10 bucks and easy enough for everyone to understand. Anyone else have a similar experience with this game?

I downloaded the demo thinking this was going to be garbage and I couldn't stop playing it. It is a surprisingly addictive game.

does pixeljunk monsters have skirmish mode where you can just battle the computer in a normal match or can you only play the computer in one of the 20+ levels?

You or you and a buddy battle against monsters that come in and try to take your village people. There are towers you build to destroy these monsters and they come in waves. Pretty simple game but it draws you in for hours!

If you like this game you also will like rocketmen!

Rocketmen didn't seem too special to me. Just felt like another re-hash of a walk around shooter. Just my opinion, but I would rate PJ Monsters much higher than Rocketmen.

It's a rehashed idea really. Gamers of Warcraft3: Frozen Throne made a map of something like this called Tower Defense that was huge on Bnet. But if that's what you meant, then yes.
