Yah, I have the gold one that came with my GoldenEye Wii Collector's Edition.

But it has to be plugged in the wiichuck thingie. I want to get a wireless pro controller if they even have one, I haven't researched it.

Nintendo doesn't make PC games. If we could get PC ports of all their games on Steam, done.

Eventually, yup. Like how we are playing 1080p Gamecube games right now, we'll likely be playing 4K WiiU games in a year.

I hope so. I never played the Galaxy games. As a lapsed Nintendo fan, I would be interested in playing them if I could see them in HD, and use a regular controller. I also remember Metroid Prime 3 being pretty good.

EDIT: Oh wait, you can already do that? I didn't know Dolphin was doing Wii games, I had only heard about Gamecube. I need to investigate this further...

EDIT 2: Okay, anyone tried playing a Wii game using Dolphin 4.0? Also, how hard is it to get a standard Xbox controller working with Dolphin? The prospect of playing through the Metroid Prime Trilogy and Galaxy games in 1080 on that controller is very tempting. That's kind of the only thing I want out of Nintendo at this point.

If theyd make a proper console (i.e. at least try some closer-to-cutting-edge-specs insofar as consoles go, and NOT gimmick based) I'd be in. But with these last two systems, it's been really hard for me to get excited about nintendo. I really only miss the marios/karts/zeldas anyway, and the occasional cool thing comes along like a starfox.

After buying the Wii late in the game, I hated it. I REALLY like the WiiU a lot. I paid about $247 which came with nintendoland and Mario Land.

Why can't you get excited about the WiiU? Not powerful enough? Gamepad? Multiplayer capabilities?

Sort of a mix of all of that, and now these new rumblings that they might be working on a successor (although not confirmed they were referring to a new console).

Not saying that the WiiU is bad; just that it's hard for me to get excited about it is all.

Well, the successor won't be coming out for some time. I think the WiiU has some pretty fun exclusives. Xenoblade is coming out eventually, which from what most are saying is going to be really good. But that's just one game.

The Gamepad argument is a dead issue because you can hook up so many different types of controllers it's great.

    Wii IS a Gamecube.

Assuming you meant that literally, I would gladly bet $200 that will not happen.

In fact I'd bet $100 it won't happen within 2 years.

We can eliminate the 4k requirement for simplicity.

    Are we on?
