LEGO Lord of the Rings?
Is it as awesome as it looks and sounds? On the fence. $30.

I think it's the best of the series, but I'm spoiled by playing it splitscreen co-op.
it is a short campaign (perhaps 8 hours) but has a ton of things to discover like any other Lego game in free play mode. -

Is the sound good? Will it make use of a home theater?

Yep, at GMG with additional 25% voucher, haha you already know.
Haven't played it yet, so unsure of the sound. Like others, will wait for it to go on sale.
Edit: Was able to get Lego Batman 2 from Gamefly for $7.50 around after three months it came out.
Lego Batman 2, Bastion and more on sale at GameFlyUsul, we have wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen.

With the amount of shite I have bought during this end of year period, I shouldn't be the one to talk, by all means, if you got the moneys, go get it.

If you've not played a LEGO game, maybe try one of the cheaper ones to get a feel for them? The music and dialogue are taken straight from the movies. I find it a bit disconnected with the visuals but most seem to like it.
