    Default Anyone ready for a possible FFXIII-3?

    It seems likely that another story in the Final Fantasy XIII universe is on its way. Motomu Toriyama, director of Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, recently made pointed statements about the open plot threads left at the end of the latest downloadable content, and promised that more answers are coming soon.

    "The [FFXIII-2] Lightning download content had an ending that left a feeling mystery and hope," Toriyama told Famitsu (via Andriasang). "The day when the meaning of this will come to light is not too far off." His answer may have even included an unspoken time frame, since it was in response to a question about seeing more of the story at an upcoming anniversary event, to be held August 31 through September 2.

    Maybe Versus 13 will get a release date? That game has been a mystery since the word go.

    Never finished 13. Got about 15 hours in and just couldn't take it anymore.

    I really enjoyed 13, but 13-2 I only managed to get about 5 hours into. It just feels to random and pieced together. It's like the took all the feedback from 13 and just didn't understand how to implement it into a fun game.

    I liked the first two, so yeah I'm ready. The story still makes little sense, but I like the spectacle.

    Between Agent, FFVsXIII, FF14 and Last Guardian… no wonder SDF is in a bad mood these days!

    Kidding aside, I think enthusiasm for future FF titles is a bit tempered these days, until SE proves otherwise. Here’s a tip to Square: making your game more complicated and disjointed doesn’t make your game better.
