well i wouldnt be surprised if its partly due to "newbies" who got the complete wrong impression based on the cut scene trailers. i mean those things were awesome with amazing animation, looked like a movie and then you see the actual game and its like looking at and playing something from the late 90s or early 00s. sadly thats just standard practice with MMO/RPG trailers...its all cut scenes and zero gameplay.
but also it just seems like the game isn't the be all end all game all the fans were expecting and assuming it would be so i'm sure that didnt help.
