I like the idea of an Elder Scrolls MMO but if it's just a plug in of the MMO formula with a ES's skin i'm not sure i'd be too jazz'd. We'll see, G4 preview does say you can go 1st person. I think Elder Scrolls has the brand power to truly create a unique experience without playing by the set MMO rules and find success. I'm we get something truly unique.
One part of the elder scrolls experience has always been owning a house... I hope this actually gets fleshed out a bit more in the MMO and not scrapped. So so much you could do... and the guilds / factions??? Yep.XBL: Phil Collins117

I'd rather they spend their time and money on Elder Scrolls 6. This is not a franchise that should be turned into an MMO IMO.

The franchise i'd most like to see in an MMO form while keeping its core the same is Dark Souls... keep factions split and fight for stages

Be epic.XBL: Phil Collins117

I'm fascinated, but I'm in agreement. It's not exactly the game I wanted. It would be sweet if it were more Diablo style, where you could play with a few friends if you wanted to, but could also go through solo. This is, well, different.
We shall see.
Zenimax Studios is made of a bunch of DAoC guys if I'm not mistaken. Which could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.
One more thought. I just don't know how anyone can hope to succeed with a fantasy MMO while Warcraft is still around. This thing will have to be leaps and bounds better if it even hopes to have a chance. -

He claimed, "It's the classic desk vs. couch argument, but it is blurring over time. The current-gen and previous-gen MMOs were all about using the keyboard and mouse, and sure, everyone used things like Ventrilo and other voice chat services, but that only works in a small group. A lot of that has been thanks to design problems that people haven't focused on a lot, such as typing and controlling at the same time.
"The 360, when announced was a pretty ridiculously cool device, but it is not so good anymore compared to PCs and even when it was announced PCs were still better than it. The technology was a little limiting for the size and scope of the world you could have. It mostly comes down to PCs being wide open. Online game development is all about doing whatever you want, pushing limitations, and it's just easier to do on an open platform. Someday, it may all change."Intel i5 2500k (@4.7Ghz) + XFX Radeon 7970 3GB RAM! + 16GB DDR3 RAM (STEAM/Origin: Nealon_Greene)
