'Darksiders II' Pushed Back to August
You'll have to wait an extra few months to take the reins of Death.

I was reading the other day that the head of THQ was kind of sketchy on the release date, despite it already being announced so this isn't too big of a surprise.

I am looking forward to this but not in a obsessive way. I did very much enjoy the original. It's art style and mixture of popular games interested me. It was by no means perfect but I thought it was an enjoyable romp. Hoping the second has allowed the series to grow some wings and seperate itself from all the games the original borrowed from to stand out as it's own game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it delayed again in order to launch simultaneously with WiiU.

Hm, I hadn't thought of that but the THQ dude was saying the other day that it may take longer to release because they want to get it perfect. It kind of sounded like this is possibly their last hope so they want to make sure and put out a great game.
And releasing this game around November would probably be a death sentence for it. -

I dont mind it being held back so long as it doesnt launch with the atrocious screen tearing the first had upon release. I can usually take tearing, jaggies and such but the screen tearing in the first literally made me sick. I had to shelve it till it got patched out, well mostly patched out.

I enjoyed the first one enough to disagree with the poor game statement, but whether that's true or not I think it just comes down to this is all they got. They can't risk putting out anything other than a AAA-quality title and this is the closest they have.
I'm curious to see if the game will benefit from the August Effect. -

This news isn't surprising considering what was said by the THQ rep during an interview. While it's disappointing to have to wait longer for one of my most-anticipated games, I'd rather play a polished release.

Man... I'm really sad about the lack of interest in this game. I loved the first game, even with the flaws that it had. Joe Madureira's art style, the soudtrack, and the fact that it reminded me of an adult version of Zelda really fueled my enjoyment of the first title. It seems that this time out the game has a lot of improvements, including what sounds like awesome ways to customize Death. Can't wait for this game!
