I only played the demo of the first one and I didn't really enjoy it. Maybe for the eye candy, if I see 1 and 2 in a steam sale for like $5, I'll pick them up and play through at light speed on super easy. Maybe not though. I couldn't even bring myself to try the BF3 campaign for eye candy after hearing how bad it was.

Wasn't a big fan of the original but I really liked Crysis 2. I thought it was a huge gameplay improvement. Felt a lot like Halo in some ways.

The idea of nature taking back New York is pretty cool but seeing Lord Zedd in the jungle setting is just weird.

Crysis 2 was boring. Except for that bridge crossing section, I remember nothing of it. Can't say this announcement excites.

Nice, saw this earlier. If I didn't know any better, video could double as a showcase for how the next Elder Scrolls game might look like. I also got a next gen Alan Wake vibe from a few of the scenes in the vid. Looks great. Here's a link to a higher quality version of it: http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/crye...update-footage
And back on topic:

Crysis 2 was quite fun. It's the only one I've played, but I also liked it a lot more than any of the Halo games. This one is on my must play list.

'Crysis 3' Was Close to Launching for Wii U
Crytek CEO cites "lack of business support between Nintendo and EA."
In an interview with Venture Beat, Crytek CEO, Cevat Yerli explains why the Wii U version of 'Crysis 3' "had to die." "We did have Crysis 3 running on the Wii U. We were very close to launching it. But there was a lack of business support between Nintendo and EA on that. Since we as a company couldn’t launch on the Wii U ourselves — we don’t have a publishing license — Crysis 3 on Wii U had to die."
Yerli's frank disclosure follows similar statements prior to the title's release wherein he cited a lack of "business drive" as the reason why EA and Nintendo made "a purely business decision" not to carry out a version of 'Crysis 3' for the Wii U.
Yerli goes on in the interview to discuss the reasoning why the companies upcoming free-to-play FPS 'Warface' is exclusive to the PC and won't be seen on any next-generation consoles. "A technology like GFACE has a tremendous amount of backend needs so it can deliver games like Warface. I would think that platform holders would have to adapt to those circumstances first, and then we could see Warface there. Right now, though, we have no plans to put Warface on any of the next-gen consoles."
Crytek originally was a PC-only developer of titles such as 'Far Cry' and the first 'Crysis,' and specialized in titles that really pushed PCs. The company then made a strategic move to incorporate the 360 and PS3 into their main focus with 2011's 'Crysis 2.' Yerli's comments and stated desire for the company to go completely free-to-play in five years suggest a shift back towards the PC and away from their relationship with EA.
