The number of users logged in at once has skyrocketed, giving the servers a real workout.

Did anyone else experience a 5GB download today?
Is Update 9 just that big or did SOE screw up the download process again?PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

I did the update in the morning for my PS3 in the man cave and it downloaded in 26 minutes, I did the update for the PS3 in my living room last night when I got home from work and it took 2 hours. Really like the ability to get into the raids with out having to round up other players.

I actually downloaded this 3 days ago, man am I happy I got it. I'm not the biggest DC fan, but it's so much fun. Now if only TOR would go F2P... and to PS3.
Great quotes on the internet:
I hear Galaxy is brilliant, and it probably is. Just can't picture myself sitting down and playing it. That would take time away from watching the Disney Channel and working on my coloring book.Ryan Payton (MGS4 Associate Producer) -

I couldn't agree more.
I too love DC Universe Online. Got it a week ago to the day and couldn't possibly be happier either. It's so much fun and I really enjoy the playerkilling (even though I'm on the losing side most of the time). Too bad you guys aren't on the same server. SOE would really do good merging US PS3 with US PC/US PS3 PVP with US PC PvP.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

We can't play together? I sent you a friend request on PSN, because I think I am the only person in America (at least on the HDD forums) that still plays this great game. I have it on both of my PS3s and have 24 characters on each. I too really enjoy fighting other players.

Looks like 120,000 new users wasn't quite enough for those greedy, power hungry, morally challenged midgets, as they are rolling out account transfers for every registered EU citizen.

Personally, I'm psyched. I simply can't wait to get charged 4-5 times more (Triple Station Cash sales will most likely get abandoned. In return, they will liberally recalculate prices to include all sorts of weird taxes and currency conversion fees) for 10-20 times less service.
I also very much like the idea that a TV company which pretty much spent millions discriminating against gamers gets to publish some of the most prestigious SOE online video games.
While we're at it: Perhaps it would be a good idea to let players stream 30 minutes of utterly useless commercials ("Germany's Next Topmodel. The Biggest Looser. How I met your Mother. 24: The Paris Hilton Story. The Simple Life. etc") before each and every log in.

Mr Smedley, tear down this wall!!
EDIT:
Just read that they are also going to alter the content in order to comply with PEGI/USK 12.
History repeats itself.
Bavarians and Austrians are, once again, teaming up to destroy everything we know and love.Last edited by Blinx123; 04-29-2012 at 07:16 PM.
