Back to 1080p (from 2560 x 1440), but more importantly, back to LED instead of regular LCD. And even more importantly, no $$ spent.
27" LED BenQ for $189! Epic. After calibration, I'm happy as a clam!! This is a steal of a monitor.

And yes, those are two Blu-ray burners and yes that is a receiver solely to drive my headphones. ROFL. So wasteful.

That is a sexy beast... Can't lie to ya man.
I have done the test, I get nothing. It was back in September or October where I had the 4670 hooked up over HDMI and the sound transmitted just fine. Short of a clean install of Windows and seeing what happens(gonna wait for that SSD before I do it), I haven't a clue what to do about this.My setup:
Playstation 3 320 GB(60GB) - 31 games, 13 BDs(have to recount)
42" Vizio 120hz 1080p set
PC Setup: GTX 670 2GB, 32 GB RAM, Intel Core i7 3770k, 120 GB Mushkin SSD OS drive, WD Cav Blue 500 GB 7200rpm HDD, WD Cav Black 2 Terabyte 7200rpm HDD, Windows 7 Professional

Got PhysX enabled.
Turned out, the AMD Catalyst drivers from that AMD Radeon 6850 I "borrowed" from Amazon weren't completely deleted. They didn't show up on my user account but were still there on my root account.
The PhysX software was outdated as well.
Game looks and plays great but I'm definitely getting to a point where it becomes partly unplayable (I got an average of 20 FPS in that first fight in dormouse's factory. It looked spectacular but was somewhat hard to control at times).
I guess that leaves me with a list of interesting options.
1. OC my rig
2. Give those whose names should not be uttered a second chance and enable MVP.
3. Pony up the money for a second GTX 680 (not likely within the next 6 months. Very much likely thereafter)
4. Wait for an NVIDIA GTX 650 to use as a dedicated PhysX card.
5. Apply the aforementioned PhysX optimisations.
6. Decrease Anti Aliasing (highly unlikely)
@Favelle
Nice monitor.
I didn't even know they made 27" 1080p monitors those days.
Is there a huge visual difference between this and your old 1440p monitor?
EDIT: Changed TERA settings to accomodate 16xS + FXAA.
Still waiting on the servers to go online.
Come on, En Masse! You can do it!Last edited by Blinx123; 04-28-2012 at 11:23 AM.

Quick snapshot of Mafia II running at 1080p/High with 32xCSAA (Sparse Grid Supersampling introduces a ghost image, hence I didn't use it) + 8x TSAA + FXAA.

Not much for an eyecandy but I wanted to show how this game looked like without the horrible in-game AA.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Thanks dude! Yeah, there's quite a few 27" LED 1080p models out there. They range in price from $199 to $600 or so.
I can notice the step down in resolution for my desktop and text. No question. But for Blu-rays, I never noticed the "upconversion" in the first place and for games, most of the textures aren't even 1080p to begin with. So I am happy with 1080p again. I thought at first I would notice it, but all I notice is the better colours and 10x better contrast!
IMO, 1080p is the sweet spot of desktop gaming. At least until developers start putting textures into the games that take advantage of higher resolutions.Intel i5 2500k (@4.7Ghz) + XFX Radeon 7970 3GB RAM! + 16GB DDR3 RAM (STEAM/Origin: Nealon_Greene)

Just a quick headsup for those interested in TERA.
The NA CE is crap. I absolutely regret getting rid of my TERA EU CE pre-order for it.
The map is made out of cheap paper and what looked like a giant hardcover book in all previous ads is, in fact, a cheaply made softcover brochure of no more than 30 pages.
Furthermore, that compass thing reminds me of something I've seen in an old USSR catalogue.
The support is still better than TERA EU but the CE is definitely not worth the asking price.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Blinx! You need a MONITOR - why are you paying $20+ extra for paper maps!?!?!? That map worth 5 cents is just going to end up in your closet with the rest of the paper and plastic items you paid a 5000% markup on. C'mon man, prioritize!

I was more interested in the artbook and the in-game items, actually. Sucks it turned out to be mostly cheap stuff from China. Especially as I paid $70US extra (shipping was that expensive).
As for the monitor. I don't think so, Sir. Why would I need a new monitor? My 47" 1080p unit is plenty fine
