That's because you're an anal retentive jerk (no offense)

EDIT: There are times (usually around 1AM) when the ping is a solid 90ms (which, let's face it, is good enough for everything but sniper simulators) now.

I've been taking it slow in the game up to now. I really dig the whole Diablo story so I was trying to see and do everything and get every little piece out of it. Now that I have done that and finished normal with my Sorc, I have started my Nightmare run. Going to run through it much faster now since I don't need to stop and listen to the dialog.

Almost at the end of Act I (Nightmare) now.
No unique items, so far. Despite having killed half a bunch of goldens.
Is it my severe lack of Magic Find (+20 is all I have) that's causing it?PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Update on the hacks... basically, they're not.
From Blizzard's Community Manager:
As someone who uses an authenticator I was a bit spooked by the thought that they weren't safe so I'm glad to see that's not the case. We've been taking the situation extremely seriously from the start, and have done everything possible to verify how and in what circumstances these compromises are occurring. Despite the claims and theories being made, we have yet to find any situations in which a person's account was not compromised through traditional means of someone else logging into their account through the use of their password. While the authenticator isn't a 100% guarantee of account security, we have yet to investigate a compromise report in which an authenticator was attached beforehand. -

Just about to start ACT II Nightmare. Not one unique or legendary item at all for me either. Not even a rare for the Skeleton King Nightmare either!

I have manged to sell a few rares on the auction house for a few k gold. Takes a long time though, most go almost the two full days so I decided to not put a buy out price this time around.
I'm still a bit concerned about the hacks. There are the standard Phish / Malware attacks going on but it also sounds like a man in the middle attack. Reports of gamers IP addresses being DDOS'ed while the thieving is taking place so they can't log back in until the deed is done. Authenticator only helps on login this attack seems to be in the middle of playing the game.

Well. They do. Though the system is less forgiving this time.
From what I hear, it's hard to get anything below 90 Magic Find.
@JAC35
The Skeleton King on Nightmare doesn't count as a challenge. Neither does any other lore boss.
Goldens and blues are where it's at.
As for your security concerns: As unlikely as a Distributed Denial of Service Attack on a private individual's computer is, it's always wise to take precautions against all sorts of remote attacks.
You would probably do good disabling most Windows remote services (easily exploitable as hackers find new vulnerabilities every once in a while) and Windows auto update.
Make sure all third party components (Flash, PDF, Java, browser, etc) are up-to-date as well.
Lastly, I hope you're not logged in as an admin at all times? -

Just played this game tonight for the first time for a couple hours. Never played a diablo game before. Moved back from NY to SF last Sunday and tonight was the first time I found any game time in the last week, so I was pretty stoked - especially with a friend telling me how awesome this game was and how he'd already sunk like 80 hours so far.
I'm not sure if my expectations were up or what - but I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not overly harsh with games generally, but I didn't enjoy this at all. I'm only level 7 and have sunk like 2.5 hrs in, so I'm going to keep giving the game a chance - but it's going to have to really change or grow a lot and that seems sort of unlikely. Even after a 7 day games drought, and after popping in a slick new graphics card literally 5 minutes before playing, despite all that excitement, I found the experience pretty hard to enjoy.
Oh well. I'll try again for a bit tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'll get my $60 worth out of this game.Currently Playing: Uncharted 3, Zelda: Skyward Sword
