I could see all sorts of wacky achievements gone wrong with this sort of system. Reminds me of something Crunchyroll gives you, though the achievements for clicking on 5 retail websites seems kind of uninteresting to me.

Been doing the quests, they are interesting but EXTREMELY slow to update (think days)

Looks like this is not happening.
If you thought that you were going to be getting some sweet new avatar items or themes from Sony's PlayStation Rewards program in the future, you'll be sad to learn that the program has been put on indefinite hold. I'll give you a second to let the news sink in.
According to the newsletter Sony sent to beta participants, they, "decided the program is not ready to roll out to the public in April as originally planned. But rest assured, we will continue to thank loyal and devoted customers like you with innovative offerings."
