Darn.
Less than 12 months until it's releasing, and Bethesda hasn't even brought forth any information on the Collector's Edition.
I would totally pre-order it already. No matter if there is any delay involved or not.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Hey Vsions.
You are working with the art department, right?
Could you guys give me a hand? I am working on a personalized gaming calendar right now and want Skyrim to be the game that represents next Christmas season.
Is there any way you or another member of the art department could provide me with a higher resolution scan of the cover art (the one that can be found on Amazon.co.uk) or something similar to it?
I need to fill out my order by the 3rd of January, at the latest.
EDIT: Found this still.

Probably even better than the cover shot from Amazon.
Anyone got this particular image in a higher resolution (2k-ish, at the very least)?Last edited by Blinx123; 12-29-2010 at 02:53 PM.

Too bad.
Yea. I know it's not going to be the final cover (would be shocking if it were).
You wouldn't know of an effective up-scaling method I could try? I might try grabbing this still off the trailer and upscaling it to 2k. I think IGN/Gametrailers had a 720p (or even 1080p) version of the debut trailer.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Well.
I found two now.

They at least look somewhat professional (as opposed to my own attempts with Paint*)
Hard to find one with a close-up of the dragon, though. Would have been awesome to have that one printed on an 6'50" x 1'60" calendar.
BTW: Any particular reason why The Elder Scrolls (dot) com is asking for my date of birth? I don't remember this ever happening before. Possibly a hint to more gore than any of it's predecessors contained? Or just a requirement set by the ESRB (considering that is yet to be rated)?
*My Corel Painter 11 license files died alongside my old HDD.
EDIT: How's your new inhouse engine performing, btw?
Wink once for "solid improvement", wink twice for "OMG. Guys! Go and pre-order yourself an AMD Bulldozer 3.4Ghz and a AMD Radeon 6990. You will need all the hardware power you can get. Our engine is performing that well, it delivers images twice as realistic as realism itself"Last edited by Blinx123; 12-29-2010 at 07:53 PM.

Nah. Not me.
I am usually the good guy, as most of my characters are descendants of the first Lord Elsweyr (a Khajiit of noble birth I created back when Morrowind launched in the US*).
My only bad guy was killed on an HDD crash. Still have some screengrabs, so I will likely try to restore him or at least parts of him.
Talking about Morrowind. I honestly hope the CE is going to be of the same high quality standards as the one of Morrowind.
Unfortunately, the quality of the Oblivion CE box was less than solid.
*Strangest launch ever. I recall Bethesda delaying the European release, but when I walked about the shopping malls on the day the game was released in the US, every store (brick and mortar included) had the North American CE in stock. Never has any game been so rabidly imported (before and since).PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Two things.
1. What happened to Elderscrolls.com? I have been looking for information on Bloodmoon and other older games, but to no avail. All I can see in my browser is the debut trailer and a link to the Facebook page.
2. Kudos to your team of narrators. The narrative of the debut trailer is fantastic. The narrator really adds depth with his more traditional pronunciation of the letters d and l. Almost reminds me of J. R. R. Tolkien reading A Knife in the Dark.PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Completed my order tonight.
Upscaling and fitting those 4 pictures was quite a hassle. 1080p was far from enough, so I needed to upscale it to 3k. Wish it would have ended there, but then I had to manually scale it down (took about half an hour and quite some math) a bit. When I finished manual downscaling, the image's length was still two pixel rows more than it should've been, so I had to manually refit it between those rows of pixels. Hopefully, I got it right. I was way too tired, so I don't even remember if I actually refitted the final version or just the pre-version that I closed prior to sending the final order. I am going to be very pissed, if the later turns out to be the case.
Aside of this one picture from the debut trailer of Skyrim (representing the Winter season), there are pictures of Epic Mickey(the one from the intro scene, right before he jumps through the mirror. Posterized it, so it would look more like the cartoon FMVs), Dragon Age 2 (concept art of the hero overlooking a cliff, with the sun rising in the background) and Donkey Kong Country Returns (box art).PSN/XBL: BLINX1234 -

Awesome bro. I really want to make a standard poster and frame it all nice as well. Hope we get some hi-res screenies soon! I hope to make a gameplay one and with PC monitors now in the 2100+ pixel width, I think it'll be quite stunning!
