I guess I should have been more clear then. If there isn't a whole lot of technical difference then it would not be worth the hassle. I love achievements and if the gameplay and graphics are not alot better then I would stay with the xbox version.

However, what's not defined here is "should be played on PC." For what reasons? If the answer is superior performance, then the thread is moot because the PC is going to outperform the console pretty much every single time.

If "should be played on pc" focuses more on the entire package, like hassle (getting shit to work properly or optimally etc etc etc), comfort, ease of multiplayer, and several other considerations then in several instances, the console is going to win.

It really all depends. All things considered; an RTS should be played on the PC. FPS's control much better on a PC - but I prefer playing them on the PS3 in most instances. I could go on, but it's all a personal preference in the end.
I couldn't imagine playing StarCraft on the N64, personally, and the only console RTS I've ever thought was decently playable was Halo Wars. However, when it comes to what to play games on for everything else, it's pretty hard to argue that consoles win because of the lack of headaches and bullshit. It's just a far superior user-experience. It's hard to argue against something that will just work, no worries, when you put the disc in. That being said, I'd absolutely buy games if I had a capable rig, particularly because of Steam. I need to get me a new machine, though. >_<

You also have to think about friends lists, which could be higher on a console version and costs...oftentimes certain titles are cheaper on another platform.

Well. Your humour is obviously not elaborate enough.

Nah. I think whytellyou just wanted to be an ass (nothing wrong with that in my book), thus posting the games that performed well on a high-end machine anno 1991.

This was probably triggered by chipvideo's very modest "bragging attempts", lol.

I was thinking about the left4deads. Good idea.

I don't know if I could handle another playthrough of fallout3. Ive already logged a good 500+ hours on it.

I think I am going to get fallout NV on pc after I finish the xbox version. I just need those achievements.

No need for that. Just glad you understood it.
