Okay, this is a really narrow window, but I just got an opportunity to have a little interview with Michael Pachter. TONIGHT. I'm compiling my own questions, but as with the Jaffe interview, if there's anything you guys might want to know, fire away and I'll pick some questions and include them in the interview.

FF11 is on the xbox 360, so what is keeping FF14 from being set in stone with the PS3 version? And why aren't their more MMO's on consoles??? Essentially why FF11 and no one else???? What changed?

What game is the "Borderlands" surprise sales hit of this Fall???

Awesome dude, I actually really like Pachter.

My questions:
How does he feel about Microsoft's focus on more casual Kinect titles at E3 and Gamescom? Does he think they are starting down the road Nintendo traveled and alienating the core playerbase? Are they putting too many eggs in one basket?

What route does he see Nintendo going next gen? Another inexpensive but underpowered console or something with some heft to try and bring back some of the core players while still putting out things casual Wii owners could enjoy too.

Also, with Nintendo having the least powerful system, and Wii sales slipping, will they be the first to release something next gen? And if so, could they be setting themselves up for a Dreamcast type situation, where people may just wait for the more powerful systems the next year?

That might just be because of the PS3's being split rather than in one lump but then again I doubt that would be much of a surprise seeing as they recently released FF13 so it probably is the consoles just not having enough in total.

What's the deal with Xbox 360's "Game Room"... news seems to have dwindled since launch and releases aren't even published by Major Nelson when they do come out. Is this feature sent to die? Is it making any money?

You're an old schooler and probably appreciate this outlet, where do you see this going??? To tie into that do Windows 7 Phones pick this up and do these phones matter to Microsoft's gaming revenues.

Exclusive Retailer DLC really irks hardcore gamers that want all a game has to offer day 1... How much money do publishers make over this frustration onto the hardcore???

Platform DLC we understand, but retailer specific DLC needs to stop. At the very least wouldn't it be wise to offer them all at a price on said network day 1 upon release? If so why aren't they doing this?

This way the pre order gets you x free in other words day 1.

I curious how much of a dent phone sales have put into the handheld market. With smartphones getting more capable, more open, and being connected by default it seems like we should start seeing some possibilities for core gaming there, instead of just the current casual market. Really phones seem to have everything but decent standard controls.

I doubt if he has any numbers, but it would also be interested to get an overview of how 3D gaming is doing so far.. And when they will have a supposedly killer app for 3D gaming with Move. Just the idea of the cost of entry to play something like that seems like it would intimidate anyone who doesn't have seriously deep pockets plus a lack of sense.

I guess those aren't exactly questions, but I'm sure you can find something to ask in there..

I'm doubtful he'll say anything but best sellers, thus cementing my impression he's not a gamer and doesn't play video games to begin with. I'll give him a chance but I'm very skeptical he'll surprise me.

I don't get the Pachter hate, I think he's got it together and I enjoy his input & his show on game trailers.
