No Gears of War 2 at E3
Epic Games has said that a sequel to Gears of War will not be unveiled at E3.
Rumours have been floating around in the last couple of days that a trailer for a second Gears game will be among Microsoft's big reveals during its press conference - taking place close to Santa Monica's E3 Media & Business Summit next month.
Epic's Mark Rein disagrees. "We are not announcing a sequel to Gears of War at E3 this year," he told Beyond Unreal. "Did you see the update we just did for Gears of War last week? We're still working on the first one."
Did you see it? No? Then perhaps you should head this way. There are new Achievements and everything. Actually that's mostly it -

Thats disappointing news, but not all that unexpected to me. I bet Gears of War II is a good 2 years off at least, so maybe next year.
Anyone offchance know exactly when E3 M&B is?
I know EforAll is in October.Try out the simExchange beta.

Its not coming out in time for Christmas, no way could they pump out a game in less than a year. IIRC it takes 2-3 years now to make a game.

Yeah, and aren't they working on the new Unreal game? Forget the name of it...

Unreal Tournament 3 IIRC, and yes they are, for the PC, 360 and PS3.

That would make sense, Unreal Tournament was a much larger game than Gears of War, and the money made from Licensing the Unreal Engine has made quite a large sum of cash over the years.

After taking a look at the games many companies are bringing to E3 I get the feeling most of them are games that have already been announced, they are just showing off new content for them.
They might make a few announcements at E3, but also keep in mind this is the first year for this so I think they'll be testing the waters a bit to see how things work out.Try out the simExchange beta.

I'm saying, just because they work on one particular game doesn't mean they can't make an announcement for another.
