Forza vs GT

I just started playing and got premium Civic which is all I could afford. The standards are in the used car section, I'll deal with that later. I didn't see the brake upgrade in the Tuning section, but there is a Race tuning section or something I haven't unlocked yet. If you go to the settings before a race you can see a section for brake tuning though, so I'm guessing/hoping the brake upgrades can be unlocked.

I hope you are right but I think race tuning was somewhat limited or not available at all for standard cars...hmmmm.

Yes, you start off with the "slower" cars and work your way up. Is that unreasonable? Just starting off with all the big and super fast cars would kind of largely take away any sense of progression and accomplishment from the game.

The fact that most of our favorite cars are either not in the game (2006+) or older standard models PD was too lazy to allow mods on. I mean we can't even change the wheels on standard cars. PD and Kaz clearly were in the bubble too long drinking the Koolaid to notice the genre passing them by. The game smelt of moth balls last release, unfortunately this one was no different. Sony fanboys are some of the worst and GT fanboys are the cream of the crop.. I imagine they are in disbelief right now even as they play this game for themselves. It's hard to believe how a game almost six years in production could feel rushed.

Boring car sim that's great for those who want to look at mostly pretty cars and drive around boring flat tracks, horrible for people like me who want FUN in their games. I didn't find any enjoyment with this game and I have to be honest and rate the game accordingly. I don't expect the hardcore fanboys to understand, but then again I don't understand them.

A game we've been waiting for, for many years, what complete let down. Feels like an arcade game, the graphics look worse than GT4, cars look box like and have sharp edges. Lack of interior view on most cars, with the interior view on the cars that do have it looking flat and 2d. What can I say good about this game? Wider selection of modes, yes, and online play, but I don't believe these features can compensate for terrible graphics and poor collision/crash physics.

This game is crap, which is par for the course when it comes to PS3 exclusives. I hate everything about it! All you do is drive stupid cars! In Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360 exclusive!) you can drive cars but also go on adventures and kill hookers! I wish I could give this -100000 points. Forza is way better!

Sooooo **** horrible is this game...with this don't bother . Are there no airplanes or boats in this game. Driving cars no fun at all...but better is Forza 3 the cars in that are more great in very much ways like my grammar. PS3 retarded suckers. Sony retarded suckers. Microsoft is best. Go Forza ! I no have words to GT5 describe patheticness. Why this game you play when you can have masturbate instead ? Also this game from Japan like Sony who is also Japan. Japan games very bad are such as Metal Gear and Shadow of the Colossus. No surprise that GT5 is pathetic also. Uncharted 2 also very suck. God of War big suck. Only xbox 360 best. All xbox game better than ps3 game combined. Halo is best. Killzone suck. GT5 is very bad. I played for 40 hours gameplay and 20 hours online game. GT5 very horrible and only sell 300 copy.

Six years for nothing. How do you make a game for six year and have nothing but **** Toyota **** view only for premium models. Not all car models are equal in graphics 800 standard gt5 prolouge cars ( 200 premiums) Dynamic weather on some tracks not all. Unable to do full racing conversion on cars other then premium models No live track editor.Every car without premium on this list has no interior.I waited 6 years for garbage…

Looks like the Xbot Army has invaded the user review section. Some may be legit as I am seeing alot of angst on some other message boards but some of those reviews didn't even talk about the game, just the sonyfanboys in general.

Then again, Sonyfanboys posted the same thing when Forza 3 came out, so I guess they are just returning it in kind.

I would like to start by saying that the single player career mode is just fine and the core physics are intact just as well as it as always been. But there is an issue that needs to be addressed, Online Multiplayer. Those who have already played this know exactly what I mean. Am I the only one who sees the flaws with the multiplayer system? I was a longtime Forza fan...they have compromised the core of the gameplay's purpose. I want to race in a lobby where I can actually choose the race.You cant even load your setups before a race once in the lobby. Who was in charge when making these decisions? Other players have noticed this as well and I believe that the truth must be brought to light. Turn 10 Studios will realize their mistake in due time. Until then, goodbye Turn 10 and may others (and hopefully yourselves) realize this size of this mistake alienating your loyal fans in an effort to "appeal to the masses".

Forza 3 is like driving though treacle, sluggish, unresponsive and dull. The worse thing about this abortion is the fact that they tried (and failed miserably) to copy GRID with the rewind feature. How they managed to mess that up I will never know. If you want a slick racer, stick to GRID.

Why the blazing hell did they change the MP? It's a huge downgrade imo and i've lost faith in those supposedly 'reliable' sites like IGN and Gamespot for choosing to ignore it. Another minor complaint - the graphics are decent, but SOOOOO inconsistent!!

This game is broken. Why would they not polish it to a shine rather than releasing it now with the screen tearing and last gen chugging graphics when the action gets really hot? I am so disappointed with this purchase. The controls are sluggish and you would think that the most powerfull console ALIVE could do better. This is a definite GS trade-in. And to think, I bought a $100 wheel to go with this game. D minus at best.

Every Aspect of FM3 that has been implemented as a new addition to FM2 sucks. This game is completely lifeless and full of bugs! Stay with Forza Motorsport 2(Two!) if you like racing games on the 360!

One thing's for sure, there are only 7 negative reviews on Forza from users, and only a couple 0's and it's been out for a year. GT already has 13 negative ones, many 0's, and it's only been out a day!

It's obvious that GT is a much worse game from a fanboy standpoint!

You really have to look at the reviews. In the end its opinion and sometimes bias will push scores up or down. Sometimes the reviewers were big GT fans waiting for the game and now its in their hands are overly excited to neglect some flaws in the same way that some flaws could be analyzed to a bigger degree and bring scores down. Kinda hit or miss. Saw some reviewers gave 9/10 and 10/10 just as we are seeing some 70s. Not as consistent as what we saw FM3 so I guess we'll see dave go MIA soon enough if the trend continues.

I'm barely working and can't wait to get home and play. Sadly I have a poker night so game time will be hampered. I will be bringing my copy over my best friend's house because if I get knocked out of the poker game I'll pop in gt5 in his ps3 :P

Technically the bet was supposed to end 3 months after the release date although I seriously doubt it will take that long to see what the final score is going to be.
But hey. There are a good 100+ reviews still to come in. You never know.

Can somebody post midnighters web site address. If the scores do stay this low I really should head over to congratulate him.
