So in between WI's "switcharoo" tactics, his comically self defeating posts, and that video I think I've found a reason to do hard drugs...

you had coldfoot spin your absurd statement as a language barrier issue.......
pwn any socom players with move lately?
now you're blowing our response out of context in order to make your original statement seem less ridiculous. nobody implied you actually thought GT landed on the moon. turning to petulance when painted into a corner is typically right before a meltdown.
truly hilarious. -

I'm only showing coldfoot that it's not a direct A to A comparison. Tires play a huge factor in laptimes which is 1 example where LMP1 cars usually have sticky compounds that last much longer than F1's prime stickier tires, which don't last as long. If they ran the same tires then you'd see lap times being much closer. Factor in the bigger restrictions that LMP cars have in comparison to F1 (which is their attempt at making LMP1 more competitive class) and they can make the lap times on par with each other. Even with the advantage F1 has due to rulings, in some occasions some P1 (and sometimes P2) cars would qualify for certain F1 GPs. Its very close. As an engineer who's a car nut, I love both series but something about LMS that really strikes me having 4 different car classes on a track at once ranging from race prepped 'street' cars to the premier prototypes. F1, as good as it is is rather bland in comparison to the golden era.
9 seconds is a lot in a short track but not in a longer one and not when cars are using different tires, bigger power reducing restrictors, etc. On almost any track in lap vs lap the F1 will usually win but races aren't just 1 lap. In F1 the top 10 are pulling laptimes within tenths or hundredths of a second of each other and even still difference between 1st and last span anywhere from 5-10 seconds. All I was getting at is that both race series are driven by technologies but due to their racing focus you can't do an A to A comparison. I'd bet if a P1 used same tires as an F1, you'd see lap times VERY comparable. The rulings sometimes piss me off though. Audi designed their drivetrain in the R10 to be dropped out super fast in case of repairs or changes and the judges ruled it an advantage.. In the fucking top prototype class! So they made them alter the design the following year. Its just like when Audi's 1st diesel dominated P1, the judges came in with a new rule for the following year to lock in injector geometry thinking they gave an advantage to the gassers. Only what they forgot was that Shell designed the diesel to flow like gas... Instead of a disadvantage for the diesel, they made it an advantage for them. Bunch of other stupid shit too like for ALMS, P1 has to be closed cockpit but the rule was only going to start next season. Tired of always seeing Audi win, ALMS judges enforced the rule basically disqualifying the R10s and R15s. They appealed but judges said its up to peugoet and obviously the frenchies acted french. Audi didn't even show up to a bunch of races this season so it was all about the P2 class for ALMS. And coldfoot would like to know that its mid-engined 'beetle'
I'm not denying the popularity of F1. I loved living in europe last year cuz I was able to catch practice, qualifying and racing sessions in F1, but here in US.. Its all Nascar BS with a few stints here and there of F1, LMS, ALMS, WRC, DTM, etc.
I meant to say other racing series like DTM and LMS but the last big driver to leave F1 for another series was Mantoya and he went to Nascar, unfortunately. The money is there. I actually root for Audi at LMS while hoping that Pedro Lamy's team (ironically Audi's rival, one of the Pug 908s) does well and he was a former F1 driver.Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!

and that's not saying GT5 is a bad game by any means.. -

What bigger restrictions? And you're also dismissing the difference in tire widths since LMP cars have bigger, wider tires. Don't forget, what separates F1 apart from other series is the Aerodynamics. That's more responsible for the 4g downforce these cars generate on corners.
Stop this silly crusade, F1 is where it's at, and LMP isn't. There's no Porsche in F1. -

Even if GT5 "synergy" amongst other modes is off, it still adds an option some people will enjoy. There are a lot of people that believe you need more than 8 cars on track for better "synergy" in the game. Some think you need even more than that! Bottom line is more options is suppose to equal greater appeal and satisfaction. The dos and donts are completely in your own hands. That should equal a higher score on THAT front (don't want some people to misinterpret higher score to mean on all scoring perimeters).
Sorry, but it's impossible for you guys to convince me that more options, in a shooter, makes the game WORSE. That doesn't make much sense."Yearn to understand first and to be understood second." - Beca Lewis Allen

"Personally, I think some developers are doing that to PS3 games on purpose to show support for MS easier development environment. 3rd party developers can't be THAT stupid to just be close to parity in games versus the over the top visuals the 1st and 2nd party PS3 games are providing (up to 1080/60fps)."

32 players in KZ2 made the game worse. If it weren't default, it wouldn't. But since this option was turned on BY DEFAULT, it made the game experience worse. Anyone that's actually played the thing for a decent amount of time knows this. An excellent example of providing a bad option + human laziness/cluelessness = worse game. It certainly makes sense. The bottom line is if the option weren't there, KZ2 MP would've been better.
