It's very easy.......go create a lobby and invite 15 people to join you.
4 of you choose the X2011
4 of you choose the Ferrari Enzo
4 of you choose the Toyota MR2
4 of you choose the Fiat 500
for example
Bingo......multiclass racing.....
No but if you clip a car or wall your steering will bust seriously effecting your ability to drive the car or you can damage the engine.
Bingo.......mechanical failures.......
Yes.......in the race you set up in step 1 you simply select to turn on damage.
Bingo.......damage in an endurance race.........
Anything else you need help with?PSN : DaveS1138

So the game doesnt tell you who won based on class, nor assign credit for winning your class....so no offical multiclass racing....especially where it counts, in endurance racing.
Thats all you need to say brother.
Visual damage yes, but again you can hammer a turn at 150 mph and your car makes a stupid thud noise and you are on your merry way. Thats sim
Yup, how come iracing isnt as popular as gran turismo or forza? -

Are you seriously telling me you need the game to tell you who won the race????? really????
Here is a crazy idea....you do it the same way you would do it in the real world......You look at the leaderboard at the end of the race and if of all the people in MR2's you crossed the line first then you won that class of the race.....Pretty simple huh?
Bingo.......multiclass racing
I love this idea that you have to be assigned credits for it to be a real race......I have been maxed out at 20 million credits for months now.....I dont earn credits for anything I do in GT5......apparently I'm not really racing anymore

No. Visual and mechanical damage....just like Forza 4.....seriously you have the game....you can see for yourself that it's there.
Because it's on PC, it costs $12 a month and that only buys you 6 cars and 9 tracks with you having to pay extra for every other car and every other track you want to race with/on.
Why isn't Forza as popular as Gran Turismo?PSN : DaveS1138

Honestly I can completely understand your confussion since you have had to struggle with the staggering limitations that Forza 4 has had for so long.
But yes, it is perfectly possible to set up an endurance race in GT5 than has multiple classes of cars taking part....has full dynamic time and weather and has mechanical damage...... Get enough players together and you can also have real driver swaps.....
Hell if you're really feeling flash and you want to get out their on the cutting edge you can even create your own track to have the race on.
Isn't modern gaming wonderfull.......One can only imagine what other wonders are possible if your game is "years ahead of what everyone else is doing even on PC"

Let me know when gt5 covers the fundementals of a racing game with things like wheel size changes, brake changes, tire size changes, air pressure changes (huge in nascar btw), tire deformation. You would think for being the real driving simulator, it would simulate the only part of the car that touches the ground. Again gt5 does a lot of things, but it does a lot of things to an uncomplete level.

Unless you're suggesting that the cars in GT5 don't have tyres then it does simulate the only part of the car that touches the ground

(granted Forza 4's tyre model is better)
I would much rather have GT5's inconsistency caused by the sheer number of features they managed to squeaze into it than be stuck with Forza 4's vast limitations as the cost of it's consistency....
But hey that's me.
At least we finally got you to accept that GT5 would allow you to simulate the 24 hour endurance race Lucas Ordonez and Kazunori Yamauchi just completed in a way that Forza 4 could never even dream of coming close to.PSN : DaveS1138

Just FYI for anybody taking part rounds 5 and 6 of GT Academy 2012 are now unlocked.
Now you get to step up to the GT-R
It's just about to cross 800,000 entrants with more than 55 Million miles driven and 6 million gold times beaten...
(The US is trailing pretty badly on average number of golds

Its left turns in nascar. With how much you defend it in GT, one would think you would know that.

Nice

It's just odd to me. If you look at the total number of gold medals won then the US is sitting in a very respectable 2nd place behind Japan......but if you look at the average number of golds per player the US is sitting in a truly pathetic 53rd behind such powerhouse nations as Malta, Oman, Peru and Quatar.
WTF US???

Still haven't taken the plunge with the XBox or Forza......
Well.....Microsoft think they have the package for you.....
They have just announced a bundle featuring a 250Gig XBox..... (so no annoying disc swapping)
Forza 4......(the second most definitive (tm) racing game of this generation)
and their wireless racing wheel......(personally endorsed by our very own Coldfoot as the best way to judge the physics in either game
)

Seriously though dont buy that..... it's the worst wheel in the history of video games with the possible exception of that silly plastic thing you wrap around a Wii.....
$110 value???? This must be some odd $109.99 version of Forza
