Use that car for Bspec events that allow it. It's easy as pie. Other races you'll have to monitor your Bspec to get him in front. Did this to beat the historic race Bspec event using the Toyota 7. 1st event he won easily but 2nd even needed some monitoring to not finish 2nd. I guess I saved myself 14.5m from buying the Chaparal 2J

Yeah I really had to nurse my Bob through the Monaco circuit on the historic race. The trick was to keep pacing him up for the first half of the circuit but then pace him down as he went through the tunnel or else he would hit the wall at the nouvelle chicane and then just sit there patiently waiting for the rest of the field to drive past him before re-entering the race.

Actually one of the best feelings of accomplishment in any b-spec race was getting the win in that one

I think I won on the last lap. The 2J AI seemed to get slower as my Bspec in the 7 got closer. He was behind the 2J the whole race, mostly on his ass. No amount of pacing up nor overtaking helped up until that last lap. Got him to go around the 2J on one of the chicanes and then he broke free.
At least I think it was the historic one on this. I'm almost certain it was.
BTW, I'm over 430 cars now :O
Only 1 gold chrome, no silver chrome yet. My bday gift car mad sad panda sad. Honda Civic, and I'm a euro go. Then again the options were 3 fairly slow cars but the other 2 cars were better. Some old fairlady and an Abarth. I think over 16k miles driven but most of it is probably Bspec from the grinder. Almost 50% complete per the GT website profile thing and that's mainly due to not having all golds in licenses and special events. Only have a few events left for A and B specs. I REALLY like the seasonals. Something about going from last to first strikes me right. Almost reminiscent of PGR's events.Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!

Not long before I hit level 40 on B-Spec now, got 10+ Million credits, 450 cars in the garage, and I owe it all to you maniacs. I couldn't even keep up last night. I was able to do about 10 B-Spec races. I couldn't even find an opportunity to collect my rewards from some of my drivers since they were always in a race. This is approaching insanity. lol!

You guys certainly have me beat when it comes to car collecting
I'm somewhere in the high 300's but then I keep saving all my money until I can buy the big 20Million cars.... I only need the Ferrari 330 and the F10 and then everything should start getting cheaper
I'm at 95% complete though.... I only have the 9 hour and 2 x 24hour endurances left to do in a-spec and a couple of the special events (havent finished the rally or the vettel challenge yet). Then I can go back and start going for all gold on the licence tests.
On the bright side a very, very kind (or very, very mean depending on your point of view) friend has let me borrow his thrustmaster wheel for a week.
Wow!!!!! I thought the DFGT was a good enough wheel to use but the thrustmaster makes it feel like a small plastic toy for a child
I already wanted to swap out my wheel becasue of the annoying wobble on fast straights and now I can never go back to my own wheel again. Really going to have to start looking at something like the G27 since I think you can get that for about half the price and it's apparently not that far off the thrustmaster (I did get to have a go on the G27 but only for about an hour and it was a long time ago so hard to compare
)
Having the flappy paddles not move with the wheel is taking some serious getting used to. It's very easy to miss a gear change during a bend as you struggle to find the paddle without looking down.
The precission and force feedback are just stunning though. The car feels so much more precise as the weight shifts through a corner and the force feedback feels like it could rip your thumb off when you hit a curb at speed.
However.......this wheels only been in use for less than a month and already the fan is making a very loud grinding noise when it first starts up.....dies down after about 40 seconds but looking around various forums it looks like its a common fault for this wheel and not something you should be expecting on a $600 wheel.
The pedals are also miles away from from the DFGT and you really do see just how cheap and plastic they are after using these for a while.
Now I have to get as much racing in as possible this week before I have to hand them back
(or find some way to make him just vanish so nobody would ever know I had his wheel
)
How the hell I am ever going to go back to the DFGT after this I have no idea

All I have left for big money cars is a X2010 of my choosing and a Lamborghini Miura.
After that, I think everything is a sub-5,000,000 credit car.My Setup

Did they drop the last one? I didn't do the pickup truck race because my friend never sent me back my massively overpowered dodge ram. I have an F150 lightnight, ssr, and silverado st that i might fiddle with. Not a fan of trucks still but it's an event I didn't even touch

Yep they have been keeping them all all the way back through to the FF, FR, AWD and F1 events from back in january. They just keep extending the deadlines on them all. Good for me since I love the F1 seasonal event and its the only race in the entire game you can enter the F1 2007 or F10 in.
You won't need to do much to win the truck races they were very easy. I don't think I even bothered with racing tyres.
I think giving us a lamborghini event this time around might be their way of making up for giving us a pickup truck event last time

Nice
I enjoyed all of the Top Gear challenges. Has anybody else tried the third challenge yet? It's one where they really did Imagine The Carnage (tm).
Speaking of Top Gear.....OMG how did PD manage to get Top Gears inclussion in GT5 so utterly, utterly wrong? It's simply mind blowing that they could make a mistake as stupid as having the Top Gear track be a freekin rolling start. It completely destroys the point of having the track in the game. That track serves one purpose and one purpose only.....it's a track used to set times for a power lap board....and to do that you HAVE to have a standing start on the line.
It's like nobody at PD has ever even watched the show. Hard to imagine since they are all such car nuts and it's by far the most popular car show on the planet.
Seriously WTF PD? All you had to do was make it a standing start and you would have had fan sites covered in leaderboards with people setting fastest times in supercars and people setting personal times in resonably priced cars.
I honestly dont get how they could make such an obvious mistake with that track

Not to mention that afaik the Reasonably Priced Car is not even in the game. It's a KIA, isn't it? If there are any KIAs in the game, I haven't seen 'em yet.
I'm off on a two week holiday starting Sunday, away from GT5 and even away from the innernet. I wonder how many credits my droids will have for me when I get back...

I'm in agreement man. They really botched the TG license with how they handled it. I mean it's cool that they have these tough TG challenges via 1 make last-to-first races but TG never did anything like that. Everyone wants to run their cars like the TG test track, via standing start, not rolling ones. I hope they patch this though.
Something tells me there's a performance hit with max cars on grid and standing starts, and why we see rolling starts as the norm.Jose Mourinho, AVB & PDC fanboy - FORCA PORTO!
