This might be a good time, for anyone in the know, to restate how you tell that an arcade is a newer revision (the latest, cooler running revisions that has lower power consumption etc).

I might consider considering one

Its the power usage. it should be 12.1A , the Falcon is 14.2A
You can almost see it though the package.
Also when you turn it on it should see a built in memory of 200mb - 500mb, i think 500mb is the most recent release.

I'm hoping my refurb is a jasper, but it probably won't be.

Even if each store sold out, @ ~3500 US stores, that would only be 35,000 units, which is not that significant in terms of November NPD numbers.

They are advertising it as 512 MB Arcade units, so they are all Jaspers.

The real X factor to November right now is the MW2 360 bundle. How many will be shipped? How heavily advertised will it be? Stuff like that. A 250 Gig PS3 is also available but I don't expect that to actually do much

Got a gut feeling on it? I'm thinking the MW2 bundles might actually have a decent number shipping. Not more than the 120GB Elite, but my gut feeling is that they might just push the bundle.

That bundle will be pushed with an MW2 commercial, I guarantee it. Still, no idea on how many being shipped.

wal mart has COD commercials going to with the 360 as the console to get it on. IW loves their 360.

Well I pre-ordered a MW2 bundle. I got $200 for my Elite and I was already going to be buying the game and needed and extra controller as well. A couple friends of mine are upgrading from their 20gb systems to one as well.

Doubt they are obligated for one day sales. Especially when it's announced in advance.

Anyhow, I'd use that $100 gift cert to buy a decent sized hard drive to go with it.
