netflix is rental... as i recall the psn store is for "buying" not renting or streaming.

not that i ever bought a video thru DL.

sorry if I ever want to own something I prefer a physical copy.

i find this news to be meh myself... a number of devices can stream via netflix already... heck even sony tvs can. the exclusive thingie must of been paid for by MS and the license has expired. it's been a year already so netflix must of made a nice chunk of change from ms for the "exclusive".... wonder if they used any of it to improve their infrastructure which will now be used by some ps3 folks

wont matter the stuff in the store and streaming will most likely not be the same. Most of the netflix stuff is older good movies, but there are alot of tv shows like dexter, office, 30 rock. Not sure if those ar in sonys store.

I'm actually happy for PS3 owners. Netflix is pretty damn awesome. The quality is pretty damn good too! A lot better than I expected.

It still won't matter in Canada. Especially since even the PSN's own video store is still unavailable. If Sony can't get its own video service all nice and legal in Canada, I can't see an American competitor like Netflix managing to get past the current VOD service providers.

Still won't matter to me either since apparently you can send DVDs and Blu-Rays everywhere in the US and its territories and you can stream video to Alaska and Hawaii but you can't stream videos to US owned territories....

Fuck you bullshit Netflix legal mumbo jumbo!

Now I don't need to renew my XBL Gold subscription. I love how I can get DVDs Blu-rays and streaming all on one box and only have to pay Netflix to do it.

This is actually awesome that I can have it in my parents living room now.

...........I suppose that you can only have one device running at a time though? Or is that okay?

The boot disc is dumb. Oh well.

The boot disc is supposed to be temporary, at least it sounds like it's free.

Pretty good news for me, I really enjoyed Netflix on my 360, it was actually one of the main things I used my 360 for these days outside of playing games with one of my friends.

To the people talking about HD videos, yes netflix does stream in HD for shows/movies that are available, though it is based on your connection speed. It's also not a replacement for Sony's movie/rental store. Netflix's scheme is simply on demand streaming of certain movies/shows and doesn't cover that many recent or big movies. You're not getting the full netflix library streamed.

Yeah, it seems like that would be less confusing to people because the Xbox media library never changed.

Have you learned yet Arron? you cannot win. these aren't your rules, or the general public's rules here man. these are Midnighters rules. and what he says is true. you haven't learned this yet? you are completely wrong and confused Arron... but Mid is not. YOU ARE... but he isn't.

Mid is right.. you are wrong. and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you can be told what you're thinking, or how to think of the next subject at hand.

duh. it's so easy. get with the program.
