Dragon Age: Origins PS3 Delay not so Official - High-Def Digest Forums

PS3 owners officially have to wait for Bioware's epic Dragon Age: Origins an extra 2 weeks. Luckily for them they still have the amazing Uncharted 2 to tide them over.

Also, the official Bioware reason for the delay could be interpreted by some as meaning that the PS3 version was or may still be an inferior version compared to the 360. (Note: PC users don't need to chime in and point out that the PC version will probably be superior to both consoles...it's implied).

It's been official for a couple of months I thought. I suppose they only said "Later in November" and never confirmed an actual date. I'm still puzzled as to why it's a two week delay as opposed to something longer.

Yep, 2 weeks is rather insignificant for it considering games for the most part start pressing some 2-3 weeks before release.

Crap. It's probably a Home space, isn't it? Guess I'll find out at the PlayStation.blog of my chosen region this Friday...

Something to compensate for those who are eagerly looking forward to the game I hope.

Nope, they just canceled the delay. It releases Nov 3rd along with the other versions.

So I get it.....next Tuesday/Wednesday as opposed to two weeks later? Uh oh, my gaming schedule has just rapidly picked up again.

Not as far as I can tell. Originally it was delayed because to "bring it up to Bioware standards," which means its performance was slightly lagging behind that of the 'readied' 360 version. Now it is back on track.

However, it is still delayed in Europe. Only the NA PS3 release is day and date with the 360s. So, it seems like it was either localization or distribution problems in my opinion, rather than console quality. But who knows...
