Welcome to my world. This happens to me anytime a game comes out while I'm at school that I wanna buy on day one. Except this happens with WalMart.

Any semi current PC is so much more powerful than any of the current console that there is no way they will look as good, play as smooth. I even waited months for ME for the same reason. Although I buy a lot of things at Amazon. I have learned not to order games from them if I really want them on launch day. For them it usually means you'll be very lucky if they actually ship on launch day (which means you'll get it one day late) or more likely, they will start processing the pre-order on launch day and it may take another day or 2 before they actually ships. I've gone back to pre-ordering online at Gamestop for in-store pickup at a store close to my office

Oddly enough, this is my first time ordering a game from Amazon, although I order movies from them all the time and get them on time. But I would rather not shop at Gamestop....doesn't help that at the time, Amazon was the only place offering the CE

I have two experiences with Amazon release date delivery. One was a day late due to a flight problem and the other arrived by noon on release day. The third chance will be with MW2.

Mine has not been shipped and will not be shipped till the 17th.

I am considering demanding compensation. Like $10 credit that people who bought the regular edition got, yet not I despite paying an additional 14.99.

Ah, then that's a pretty big problem. I'd be on their ass and be demanding a credit of some sort.

Let me know how that goes, i'm in the same boat. Theres some posting on the comment area about someone who contacted amazon and they said it is backordered, that they didnt get enough of them. Considering I pre-ordered in June and didnt get mine yet either, they must have a hefty shortage.

I went to a lot of retailers to find a 360 CE (pre-order was screwed up) and only managed a layaway, but I didn't see a PS3 version at any of them. Could be a scarce one...

Doesn't Amazon have a day-and-date release shipment option? If so, did you opt for that?

Doesn't Amazon have a day-and-date release shipment option? If so, did you opt for that?

The problem is that Amazon still believes the CE is being released on the 17th, as opposed to the 3rd like the regular edition.
