2006 was the tsunami year with the PS3 extremely hard to find.

So sony doesn't want to repeat that. So no 2010 will not be a 2nd tsunami year.(and since no SDF here has ever used that statmentin any form of seriousness it should be dropped, it has gotten old)
Waiting for the day when sales or graphics or reviews matter again.

    Rather curious... Care to explain?

And frankly, I think 2010 is going to be a bang-up year for the PS3. I'm not sure it needs a "tsunami" or other absurd PR metaphor.

Voted no, due to entirely too much time being spent focused on the term "tsunami."

Will it be a fantastic year? Gameswise, absolutely. And that's really all that matters.

    Sales? Quite likely, yes.

lol....how was the PS3 hard to find?

It was well-documented that there was plenty of PS3 stock on store shelves.

GT5 in a huge way, heavy rain, The Last Guardian, possibly MAG

And then several multiplats, especially Bioshock 2 -- also bad company 2

I'm also somewhat interested in that mario kart, lbp hybrid type game - the name of which is currently eluding me

God of War 3 is my most anticipated and then GT5. I don't know much about Heavy Rain, but I'm sure it will be good. It will be interesting to see what Sony has planned for the Fall line-up because right now Spring is pretty stacked.

EDIT: I did a little checking, can someone explain what the hype about Heavy Rain is all about? It doesn't look like that development house (Quantic Dream) has done much.

Perhaps the more interesting question is, what does sony have planned for the spring - because I agree with you, and think it's pretty doubtful that they wouldn't strategically delay some of those titles.

God of War 3 is also somewhat interesting to me, but I'm not a huge fan of those types of games

Depends on what you mean by tsunami. If you measure it by Sony releasing several high quality exclusives in a short period of time then it already happened when we got R2, KZ2, Infamous, LBP, Valkyria Chronicles and a few others within a year. If you measure it by game sales then it came with MGS4, GT: Prologue, Motorstorm selling over 3 million each. If you measure the tsunami as I do which means grabbing the #1 spot from the Wii then no, that won't ever happen.....which reminds me, time to update my sig.
The 360 Tsunami is coming with GeoW1, GeoW2, Halo 3, Halo:ODST,Kinetic.....Halo:Reach? Just you wait!

Heavy Rain is hyped for graphics and they made indigo prophecy.

IMO the 360 has a better line up sure GT5 and Gow3 are nice but I want Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, and Mass Effect 2 and maybe Halo Reach.

Bad. the game Modracers I think.

ModNation Racers is that karting game Badger.

As for fall, I think they may have unannounced games by some of their 1st parties, I don't know that there's anything confirmed next from Evolution, Cambridge & Liverpool, hell I think xmas '10 could have been long enough for Guerrilla to crank out another FPS now they've got the engine down.
