Given Wii sales fell off a cliff, COD is still doing ungodly amounts of business, MS led their show with a Halo game, and Sony was laughed out of E3 for Wonderbooks, I think it's reasonably safe to say the next consoles will have plenty of good stuff for us. MS will still do another Kinect, but it will be just as easy to ignore as the current hardware.

We don't need the usual flareup.

1. Kinect game gets bad review.
2. "Mild usage and party games, Kinect is a fail. Hype is being swept under the rug.. etc.."
3. Good kinect games are brought up(Yes they exist)
4. "That game doesn't count.. It's better with a controller.. You could just use a headset.."
5. Kinect sales are brought up.
6. "Any company can sell a product with a $1 trillion marketing budget. Consumers are sheep."
7. Rinse, repeat

Kinect. At least it sold well. Like Gran Turismo 5.

I’m sure there will be plenty for the core gamer to get excited about for next gen, but those hoping casual or motion gaming will be left behind are likely in for disappointment. 20 million units and propelling your platform to #1 worldwide is a better indicator of the market than E3 reactions.

I agree - room for everyone. I just think there's been a lot of doom & gloom for the core games market lately, mostly propelled by a boring E3.
