Which would be a fair point if that is what he had said. It was not. He claimed that PD said it WOULD be released in 2008. Something that they clearly never said.

If he had argued that they estimated it would be released in 2008 and it was not then I would point out that they didn't know at the time that they were going to give us Gran Tursimo HD, Gran Turismo mobile and GT5:P in the mean time all of which took time away from the development of GT5.

Forza were only working on 1 game. PD were working on 4 (but like I said that is not what he was claiming).

ghost... you showed credible sources with links and backed it up.. it's right there plain as day. we even have a thread here somewhere about the release or hopes for of GT 5 here on this site.... it would just take some digging.

Still waiting to see where it was concretely implied that Gran Turismo 5 will launch in 2008. You are reading what you want to read purely to look down on a PS3 game, nothing else. You aren't reading what was actually said. He said that the game could launch as early as 2008 but he may hold it back to work on it more. He said he hopes to get it out the door in 2008. He never said "Gran Turismo 5, coming in Spring/Fall 2008" nor really anything like it.

1 of them had a quote saying they hoped the game would be ready in 2007

1 said they thought it wouldn't be out until 2008 at the earliest.

Still waiting for just one link of PD saying they WOULD release GT5 in 2008. Which is what you had falsly claimed.

But since there is no way that you can defend Forza 3's discredited claim to be the definitive racing game of this gen then I guess false links is really the best you can do huh.

To inject a little fairness into this, Forza 3 isn't out yet. Unless we've recieved absolute confirmation that all it'll have is 8 cars, this may be speculation. (No, I've not been paying that much attention to this thread so if a link was posted, I might not have read it)

Just because people rave about date speculation doesn't mean anything. I mean hell, I was swearing by it that 2009 was gonna be the year Final Fantasy XIII came out and I was incorrect. We all thought it was gonna come out this year.
