Damn that's a lot of huhs... huh? lol

I apologize everybody... I forgot if a developer doesn't say promise, cross my heart and hope to die, swear to god, for real... than it didn't happen and is not credible by any means

It is what it is fellas... I know I'll be of the few on here spending countless hours on both Forza 3 and GT5 when both games are on store shelves... I won't be the type who only talks about it

As a former MASSIVELY huge GT fanboy... PD needs to deliver big time with GT5

What? Where did I say that? I was the one who said to Dave that clearly PD said GT5 would get released in year X, and it didn't happen, and that it's silly to deny this.

More misdirected sarcasm.

Now, off to find that rare special-edition Turn 10-developed PGR4. Odd that they would name their own game the same as Bizarre's game.

So "we hope to" means "we promise to" to you?

Didn't say they developed, said they worked on, as in helped. Sorry, I forgot how hardcore HDD was in terms of terminology. But then again... I didn't say promise

Dude, I recall you used the term "broken promises" and have yet to produce any...

So, we all know that Forza 3 is looking pretty fantastic in the graphics department, but how does it hold up against real photos?

The short answer is, pretty damn well. The guys from Flameboys.co.cc decided to put the new title to the test and hunt down some photos of the cars’ real life counterparts and put them side by side.

I don’t know if it’s photshopping or what, but I could swear that some of the real car photos look more like screenshots than the actual screenshots do.

Either way, the game is looking really good, and between it and GT5, we have serious eye candy on our hands.

Check out some pics and the link after the jump.

Since they have made the effort to put the pics together, I am only posting one on our site, and you can check the rest of them on their site, link below.

Source and More Pics: Flameboys

2010 Audi R8 V10

2007 Lamborghini LP640

2009 Aston Martin DBS

there's more pics on that flameboys site. oh.. and the grass looks horrible in that last real life picture. what's that supposed to be??? blur?!?!?

Oh, okay.

In that case, Killzone 2 should be listed in Naughty Dog's and Insomniac's credits. After all, they shared some of their tech.

Talk about reaching. PGR has no place in this conversation, anymore than MotorStorm or Sony's F1 game or WipEout do.

Maybe we should come up with a 'standard' on terminology dissecting..
I mentioned some of the claims... and again, I don't spend my time researching the web for links that will ultimately be disproved by the faithful just to prove a point to complete strangers... posting on a message board is enough of a time waster

but I guess the way you can work around 'promises' is by saying 'we hope to' as in 'we hope to include damage and friend invites and... by fall of 08'... fast forward almost 9 months and 'hey they didn't promise!!"

telling you man... we need to 'definitive'ly come up with a 'standard' for this stuff so we can figure out which title is the more 'real driving simulator'

You look to be speaking from a wholly uninformed position, and I'd be willing to bet you never played it. You're also totally ignoring that the game cost $39.99 at launch - so they didnt even charge full price. They were admitting that it's not a full installment (they called it a prologue, they priced it a 2/3's the price of a normal game). However, that in -no way- automatically makes it a demo. There are plenty of much shorter games on the market to day for $59.99 -- they're not demos.

Prologue was worth every penny of that $40. It's still one of the very best looking games of this gen - and getting 16 people out on the track, going balls to the walls with awesome physics and near photo-real graphics is amazing.

I wondered the same.

Totally dodged your question. So the answer is no, he's just towing the company line.

I didn't bring it up 1st red

Just pointing it out, kinda like how "your friends" brought up TT, GTHD, PSP games, and demos of demos as 'releases' and forgot about the tech demos and misdirection of the money printing franchise... I don't have the facts but I could swear that PD is a bigger studio, with more resources available, and a ton more money at their discretion to use than T10 has... yet T10s games bring console racing to another level, while PDs just make it look prettier

*Rolls eyes*

You know, for how much you talk about how you're going to be playing GT5 and Forza 3 so much, it sure doesn't sound like you're excited for GT5 at all

That doesn't matter. You agreed with it.

PSP games and TT are actual games actually made by PD. No one brought up a demo as a real product (you made that up), let alone a demo of a demo. Now, bringing up GTHD is pretty silly... but still less silly than bringing up PGR4.

The analogy between real PD-developed games and PGR4 does not in any way exist. You even trying to suggest that lending engine sounds for PGR4 and making an entire game like TT are comparable levels of bullshit shows just how random your thinking is.

Pure unbased speculation. You don't have the facts... therefore you couldn't swear that.

Day 1 purchase for me homey... Day 1 purchase. I've owned (still do) every full release version of GT. Notice how I said full release... i.e. no Prologues please
I'm a huge anti Prologuer... I know that all it does is it delays the full release. If resources are spent on working and fine tuning GT5P, would it delay GT5? yes. It's nothing more than a loyal fan milker that I don't buy into. It's sad that fanboys don't see that and defend away like no tomorrow. I mean on PS3 we had what.. GTHD/demo, GT5P demo, GT5P, a bunch of tech demos. and people want to criticize bad grass textures and neglect the 2D rolling background in the 'standard' of racing video games...

See I've got a ton of friends only with 360s and Forza will be my racer for it. I've also got a lot of buddies only with PS3 and for that console GT5 will be my racer for it. As a sidenote, FIFA10 will be the first ever multiconsole game I'll own to play both FIFA loving buddies (and mainly cuz PES now sucks)
