OP, wondering why you changed the title to PS3, when it says Console on the Yahoo page and also Wii is mentioned in the article. PS3 is not even mentioned specifically.
This is a contact dermatitis/rash sort of thing it looks like. You could get it from holding a spatulla and playing with it for hours. -

I remember the loss of skin due to Atari, But I think it was something in winter or summer games that did it. Also track and field with Nintendo.. Anyone else do the teaspoon trick? Put a teaspoon on your thumb and basically wank out the buttons..
