This must be a good game, I can't find a used copy anywhere. They will have this fixed by the time I find one.

No, like I said, the rewards for getting the trophies (the extras that are unlocked) are actually worthwhile, as opposed to just getting ePenis points. So yes, there is plenty of reason to replay it.
I disagree, but I already wrote that.
No, it's about average.The game is short.Receiver: Denon 3808CI / Remote: Logitech Harmony 1

Uncharted's length of gameplay is about 8 hours, DMC4 is about 10, R&C is about 12, Bioshock is about 20. I can bring up plenty of reviews criticizing Uncharted's length; IGN gave it a hit on length, gamespot, too. It would be different, if it had a multi-player/CO-OP element, multiple endings, or a non-linear story path, but it didn't. I'm not stating anything too shocking here. It's reasonable to call Uncharted a short game and universally repeated by critical opinion.

I think you pretty much nailed it there, but I'm very glad I ended up buying the game so I can give it multiple plays in order to find all the treasures, complete higher difficulties, and in general be a trophy whore at my own pace.
In the end, everyone should at the very least rent the game to experience it, but I don't think you'd be too disappointed with an all out purchase (especially if it comes down to $30). There are certainly much worse games you could buy.
Edit -- Just realized this thread was supposed to be about LBP. I have the Metal Gear pack and I've had no problems, but like others I haven't gotten into level creation yet.Proud member of the BATMAN club and the CAT SQUAD... it's not what you think.

It doesn't matter. For an SP campaign, 8 hours is about average. You really can't factor MP for comparison, either, because then ANY game with MP can be considered to have a playing time of "infinite," in which case any SP-only game is "short."
No, it's not a "fact." A fact is something that's provable by numbers. Uncharted isn't short, unless you call the average game short by definition. The average SP campaign is about 8 hours. Even if every single review said it was "short," that STILL wouldn't make it a fact, unless the numbers actually supported it. There was a time when everyone said the Earth is flat -- that didn't make it a fact, either.Again, universal critical opinion states that Uncharted is a short game, it's a fact.
As for IGN, they specifically say the game is replayable and give it 8.5 on replay value, even if they do call it short.
As for GameSpot, I just read over their review, and all they say about the length is that it took them 8 hours. They don't even say that's bad or that it's "short," nor do they list it in the cons section.Last edited by RedRedSuit; 01-01-2009 at 01:37 AM.

Uncharted is a great game, but it is bound to be part of the greatest hits program if it isn't already and like many mentioned its probably fine as a rental.. On the other hand I have yet to find a decent online game of LBP. I'd lean a little towards LBP, but I'm not as impressed with it as some people. I have had fun with the MG add on levels, and there are a few decent user created levels.. I could fool around with the level editor for days. They are a bit pushy about walking you through tutorials though.

My oops on gamespot, I thought the review was more clear, and less inferred. Regardless, there is a plethora of other written media which supports my claim the game is sweet and short. But, I am bored with criticizing a game which I myself enjoyed, even if it was succinct, had little gameplay variation, and limited replay value, so I am going to bow out of this particular argument. If you want to defend something so fervently, which by your own words was just "average", then that is certainly your right.
