Who knew the PS3 was such a violent and angry unit - that it would commit murder! This is even more shocking than the goat beheading!

That is too funny! Even though the PS3 might be able to handle the heat, I have noticed how hot that sucker gets. It's like thers a little mini HELL inside my PS3. Why people insist on putting their systems in enclosed cabinets is just beyond me...

My PS3 only gets warm on the right side, where the air exits..

but he's right.. in a nonventilated area... it would get HOTT... it puts out a lot of air.. which amazes me that it stays as quiet as it does..

lol, i like his description of the cooling levels of the PS3 though

Whenever I want to dry my towel, I just put it near the right side of the ps3 and viola in an hour it's nice and toasty.

I've also noticed that the PS3 seems to output more heat than the 360. Although the 360 is no slouch in the fire breathing department either. I accidentally left a piece of soft plastic on the shelf and within 30 minutes it was melted onto the glass shelf.

I'm not going to lie, here. PS3 is generally quiet, *but* its highest fan level which kicks in when it's really hot -- happens to me sometimes in 80+ degree weather -- makes it very, very loud.

(My PS3 is not in an enclosed cabinet.)
Receiver: Denon 3808CI / Remote: Logitech Harmony 1
Speakers: Monitor Audio RS6 front, RSLCR center, R90 back, Elemental Design sub
    Consoles: Wii, GC+GBAP (digital), Xbox 360 S (250GB), PS3 (+320GB), GBA SP, PSP Slim
Set top boxes: Apple TV 160GB, Dish ViP722 HD DVR
    TV: Sony XBR2 46" 1080p LCD
    PS2 > 360 > PS3 > GameCube > Xbox > Wii (games)
    PS3 > 360 > Wii (overall)
    Blu-Ray > HD DVD

Funny you mention that. I started putting frozen burritos on the side of mine. After 5 minutes of Resistance (it takes 10 when watching a movie), Mmmmmm, yummy, crispy on the outside warm on the inside. But I keep getting Tapatio on my PS3, and it messes up the shiny finish. Dang it.

lmao... you win at life... care if I steal that idea?

I'm gonna use mine (in tandem with my 360) to heat my dorm room next winter... Because the school is too lazy to ever turn on the heat...

I bought another one and mounted it on my bathroom wall so I could use it as a hot air hand dryer.
