Killzone 2 Multiplayer - PS3

Beautiful graphics and fairly decent multiplayer level design mean nothing in an FPS which during our hands-on took up to a week to respond to control inputs and masked the action with a layer of post-processed vaseline at every opportunity. Sluggish, terrible to control, and seemingly on a steadfast mission to confuse the player.

so, scores don't matter. just look at the too human topic. metacritic score of 69 yet it one of the biggest thread on here with people saying they had fun. besides wait until it comes out.

no, I said i was gonna buy it when it hits the bargain bin. even midnighter made fun of me saying I was training for my ps3 by waiting.

Review system "scoring" is shit and garbage and I suspect those that rely on it these days lack any competence in critical thinking or evaluation on their own terms. Only thing the bloated video game review society is good for is finding out minute specifics about games that might be hidden in the review text, as painful as they are to read.

That said, read the subtitle to the article

Knee-jerk reviews after ten minutes' play-time. As is only right and proper

Made me chuckle. I sorta feel for Killzone, it's going to have it really rough with the media like Too Human for being center stage.

It's likely a 7 game by these guys scores if you compare other experiences but then the hype factor harshly knocks it to 5.

Fully destructable toilets would bump it a point IMO.

Kotaku had some good impressions of MP but then again they said the MP is much better.

KZ2 went pre-beta about a week back, what was shown at Leipzig was alpha...

I think it's probably bogus. The demos and play stands at E3 showed plenty of people who weren't having any control issues - and there are videos up, including the one where that entire building collapses, that look anything but "vaselined".


I'll wait till the game gets closer and we get more credible reviews. The final build of the game doesn't even come out until after the holidays.

I believe this site has labeled this game "biggest disappointment of E3." Its pretty apparent they haven't liked this game for a while. It probably won't change by February.

Because its garbage and you know it. The game isn't even near finished and they're reviewing it lol...

You'd be on here pointing out the same things if the same thing were done for fable 2 or gears 2.

I don't need killzone 2 to be amazing as I never played the first one, and I'm taking a wait and see approach with KZ2, but shit let's at least let a game reflect some sort of a finished product before we criticize it.
