Multiplatform games looking better now on PS3

Took them a year and a half to learn the hardware but it looks like multiplatform devs finally are starting to get how to use more processors. Heck if EA can get Madden 09 looking like it does on the PS3 now versus the horrible 08 in just one year I think we are in for a treat. Not only does Madden 09 look twice as good but it also runs at double the frame rate--makes you wonder what the heck they were doing last year.

Go download Star Wars: Force Unleashed Demo on both platforms, one of the more graphically impressive multiplatform games to come out in a while.

360 has frame rate issues, no DTS, and has screen tearing with v-sync off.

PS3 has a more stable frame rate, better sound, and v-sync is on with no screen tearing.

Others agree (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthre...=332244&page=6). So now-a-days the PS3 engines of multiplatform games are running the same or better than the 360. Who knows what next year will bring.

First party developers have been taking advantage of the more powerful hardware for a good year now. Glad to see multiplatform developers doing the same.

Capabilities are the same. If the PS3 version of Madden is better, why is it played competitively on the 360? Shame on you and this thread.

So based on one demo, multi-platform games are looking better on PS3?

I read some of the posts on the link you put up and many are saying that v-sync issues are on the PS3 demo as well. One guy even says the lighting is better on the Xbox 360 version. But whatever…

Because the competitive site MLG is centered in America and the 360 came out before the PS3. MLG took off and would do better focusing on one platform especially in the early on. Seriously, do you think before you post?

This thread is cleary premature, but may not be far off from what happens over the next few months. Seems the PS3 is a lead platform, and hence getting more dev attention in more cases than last year. This might be why the NHL 09 demo is out now for the PS3, but the 360 is next month?
