So when do we get the Leipzig forum

The lacklustre E3 got one, and Leipzig is much larger event...

Whilst Microsoft may have blown their wad with regards to announcements, there is plenty thatr Sony still have apparently... And i'm sure Nintendo want a chance to do something better than the abysmal offering they had for E3.

A separate Leipzig forum? I know this was done for E3, but I really wish High-Def Digest would stop separating it's already small video game community of posters by forcing separate forums for various topics (e.g. games, conventions, smackdown).

I know some disagree, but I believe HDD would be a stronger community if we could talk about all video game topics in one place.

Just my 2 cents.

well the e3 forums was in smackdown section and I think it was done right. I don't think putting the game section and smackdown together is a good idea. maybe put the game room section right next to game console smackdown.

I would agree but the problem I would have (and possibly others too) is that the trash that gets posted in here would run rampant over most other good news stories and lively debate. So it's a double edged sword. I'd like one forum as well, I think it would make for a stronger and bigger community but I definitely wouldn't want the rule set to be like this place is across all VG forums on here. I don't really post in the non-smackdown video game forum but that's because there is nobody ever there. This forum isn't as civil but there are people here, can't really talk to yourself.

Sony had a bad E3, MS had a nice one.

I understand and agree with what you're saying. There is a logical solution, though: Change the smackdown forum from "Game Consoles Smackdown" to "Video Game Smackdown." I just don't understand why we place the arbitrary label of "console only" on here when you can barely have a "console" discussion without addressing the games - and that's most of what we talk about anyways. The "Too Human is Too Terrible" thread has 60 pages! How does that pass for "smackdown worthy" while other game threads don't?

As I've said before, keep the Game Room for people who want civilized, well regulated discussion. But just let the same topics be posted in Smackdown with the understanding that Smackdown will bring unfiltered opinions - for better or worse.

Right now, you've got the bulk of the posters in Smackdown, virtually nobody in the Game Room, and tons of game related topics not being discussed because they're not allowed in Smackdown and there's no audience in the Game Room. So, if I or others want to talk about these topics, we have to go to GAF or some other forum (which sucks because I want to hear the opinions of HDD members, not GAF). This stifles the growth and usefulness of High-Def Digest.

leipzig is not a huge event, as a matter of fact its not on the same level as E3. Get your PS3 blinders off, it's almost like your life is invested in this gaming machine or something?

E3 sucked for everyone. MS's was pretty craptastic until they dropped their FF13 bomb, and while that is a massive news story, it doesn't make the entire rest of their e3 presentation any less lackluster.
