I'm gonna mod out my first gen XBOX 360 PRO, get an external harddrive for it too.
Buy a new Arcade for 200 bucks, and put the old PRO 20gig harddrive in it.

Yeah, uh a picture of a screen stating a price drop with no confirmation of said price drop does not make it "true". This shit can be doctored, nto to mention there could be pricing ERRORS on an SKU check at any given time if there's been some changes to it done recently.

I somehow doubt that it is, though. It's definitely possible, though. I just think that it's likely true.

I've worked at CompUSA and EB, and of the two, CUSA has an SKU search similar to that (I'm guessing it's Best Buy), and I know for a fact that with that kind of software, one screw up could reflect as a possible price-change that could mislead consumers (hence why this isn't available to the public). Sometimes it gets fixed fairly quick, other times it takes days.

I've heard of no price drop from anyone at EB/GS, and as far as I know... those of whom I've asked who work at the nearest BBuy and CCity both told me that they don't have such a price on their system.

Did you bother to ask if he was aware from the SKU/Inventory search, or if he was aware of them because he'd either read about it or was told about it by another customer?

why are you so persistent as to say this is false? are you getting paid to keep this out of the public eye or what? I've worked @ compusa myself. Not everyone is out to play marco pi detective and investigate everything. not everyone wants to stop an employee and ask them a million questions. ease up, if it's not true then you win nothing. if it's true, you still win nothing so just let it be.

Um, why did I bother to ask? Because I get customers in daily mentioning the rumored price-drop (and a rumored 120/160gb PS3), that doesn't mean it's true or that I know about it because I read about it on a store-email or SKU check, it just means I know about it because 50 people have mentioned it at the store so far.
