which is why it's great to have more than just 1 console. sure you're spending more $ upfront right now, but later when your 360 messes up who can you rely on for gaming to play? ps3, psp, wii, etc. always have a backup plan

But it's the same console....

I myself have a PS3/Wii/DS/PC where I can play games, but I just think it's stupid to buy 2 of the same thing.

What good is a ps3, psp, wii, etc when he has 30 360 games that only play on the 360?

It's only stupid if the 2nd unit is not getting any use and is only collecting dust. I plan to buy another 360 and PS3 for use in my Bedroom.

Would you limit your household to just one TV since everyone in the house could just share it?

On another point, don't tell my what to do with my son. Jeez.
No way man look up my thread on RRoD just recently (hell it's on page 2 i think)

Call THAT number with your case ticket.

I got my 360 back within 3 business days of shipping it. Excellent CS on this end.

My total downtime was a week and a half.

...That's just ridiculous. I could understand maybe if you lived with someone that played the same game as you heavily.

ex) I played Socom 1 and 2 w/ a 2 brothers. We were in the same clan/team or w/e so they needed 2 PS2s. But just so you don't have to go to the family rooom / living room just seems like absurd spending to me.

OR if you're uber nerdy like me set up a mini lan with my extra PC monitor and VGA connection. Awesome for side by side play with no split screen!

You're on a forum that relishes in movies that retail for 39.99

This is the home of absurd spending. Welcome! Gotta keep the economy flowing!

MGS4 was the most expensive at $60 for a single disc.

I haven't paid over $25 for a Blu-ray movie and I now own 28 or so, and have been buying them for over a year. Learn to shop.

When the internet was less used for buying back when DVDs came out I was buying DVDs for $39.99 as well. It's the way the system works.

um that is why you don't buy so many games on just 1 console and you can still buy games from the psn that are affordable and fun as well. don't forget games do go multi platform so they're widely available. everyone know the chance they are taking when buying an xbox 360 and buying that game for the 360 instead of getting the ps3 version. so to each their own.

you are thinking one dimensionally. this is about convenience.

and these consoles don't just play games... I use them more as a media center than anything else. So for me, the convenience of being able to stream media content in both my living room and my bedroom is important to me.

For Ice, it is convenient for him to be able to do watch/play whatever he wants in the living room while his kids watch/play whatever in their room. Obviously, money isn't an issue for Ice.

Yea, but @ MrE he didn't buy the second system until the first one broke and he got shitty CS from MS. That was the point of our little mini argument. And if you read my post I don't have a problem w/ 2 systems being used extensively.
