2.41 nitpicking.
Even on Super Star Dust HD, which supports in game custom soundtracks, you cannot use the XMB to play music.
This means that you CANNOT stream music off a network, or play it off of a portable usb device like you can on Xbox 360 during the game.
......Yuck. -

I had a feeling Sony wasn't going to put that in the update. That would be too cool.

I noticed this but to be honest I don't really care anymore. The only games I think need custom soundtracks are racing games, which tend to be filled with some of the worst music imaginable, but as I mostly play RPGs and FPSs... custom soundtrack mean little to me.
Still I do think Sony should get streaming in game soundtracks to work. Seems a silly omission.Pioneer 50" 1080p KURO, Pioneer VSX-LX70 amp, KEF 5005.2 speakers, Xbox 360 Elite, PS3 60gb. -

I think 2.41 is a letdown. It's as bareASSbones an implementation that I could have imagined. Perhaps it's a step forward, but a baby step at best.

I really don't get it. Everyone has been bitching about not having in game XMB since launch. Now its here and people are bitching again. What the fuck was everyone expecting? It does what it was stated to do. Maybe I'm not let down because I wasn't expecting anything big. I'm very happy with it just for the fact that I'm not quitting games to see what messages someone sent me.

Honestly, I really don't use custom sound tracks that often. I thought it was amazing when I first got my 360 in 2005...and I did make use of it for about a year, but the desire to use customs has faded for me. Maybe I need some new music.

I'm more disappointed about how no games except SSHD support trophies. -

I don't ever use custom soundtracks, unless it's GTA (Vice City on xbox i totally rocked Journey's greatest hits! DON'T STOP, BELIEVIN!).
But my nitpick would be the obvious, get your friends off the media bar and make them universal in the background so at all times you can see how many are online and how many messages you have.
I don't think you should have to shuffle through the media bar to see that. Also next to it a quick launch to the PSN store would be nice.
Other than that. Power invites would be nice.XBL: Phil Collins117

There's too much crap on the ingame XMB, that is all.
Surely cutting back on things on there that you don't need would lower the memory footprint?360, PS3 and PC gamer.
