I mean internet downloads. I'm unable to buy anything from the PSN since for some reason neither PSN nor Live accept my credit card.

And I download a demo once every 4 weeks anyway...

I have one major issue with people bitching about 2.40's lack of in-game XMB during blu-ray and DVD playback.. and that is: WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU WANT THAT DURING A MOVIE?

It's such a pain in the ass to get constant friend log-in reminders on my 360 when I'm watching a movie... I don't want that on my PS3...

Change audio or display settings. Apparently, changing audio settings is available with the in-game XMB. Way too often I'll forget I have it set to output over optical for my surround. But sometimes, I just don't need that. But I've usually already started the movie before I realize I'm not getting any sound, so I have to exit out and go change them. That's why the fuck I'd want to have an in-movie XMB.

Warhawk friend list is tied to the PSN friend's list. it isnt a big deal.

You can't do display change settings regardless of whether or not you're within the XMB, and that's probably due to the fact that... it's done automatically.

As for audio, this should be wash for Sony... I don't see why they just don't allow dual-output for optical and HDMI... it irks me.

Funny thing is, yesterday I got a new set of HDMI cables from monoprice specifically for my PS3 (I was using the 360 HDMI cable) and when I hooked them up to the second HDMI port on my TV... I got audio from both my optical and my HDMI connection - so apparently, it's not a hardware-related lock, it's just the software that does it.

Not all of them. There's plenty of selectable display settings. Generally speaking though, most people set them once and leave em.
