Is $50 really that big of a deal though? Don't get me wrong, every little bit is appreciated but $50?

Hopefully the PS3 gets a price cut as well in the next 2-3 months. This lends some credibility to EGM's rumor.

Hmm... possibility of $50 off the Arcade bundle? Think it's finally time to buy that second Xbox.

If the Arcade drops to $200 I *MIGHT* buy one. Table Tennis and Halo 3 are enough for that price. You don't need the hard drive on the 360 at all right?

If you want to pay Halo 3 online you will. You'll need to download maps.

You can still play Halo 3 without the new maps, the only thing is you wont have access to certain gametypes which require the new maps.
