And it's a game he doesn't even intend on buying... Yet you look at these posts....

Either way, it's a valid, correct statement.

Confusing opinion with fact again I'm affraid... my 'opinion' is that it's a virtual tie... the FACT is, the 360 scores higher.

If you're going to remove it from the PS side, you need to remove it from the 360 side too...
and in that case, the 360 still averages higher.

The Fact is, the data puts the 360 in the lead. It is also factual that when the questionable data is removed, the average scores for both go up, maintaining the 360's minor lead.
My opinion is that it doesn't matter, and both are equal... but I'm not going to deny the data. When the data was in the PS3's favor - I fully acknowledged that, and didn't try to discredit it. Why? That only makes me look foolish... the data is what it is... and if there are portions that are questionable about the data, then we remove it and re-calculate... and in every case so far - the 360's maintained the lead when the questionable data was removed.
I believe it... because that's your opinion... and it's not dissimilar from mine.
We both agree it doesn't matter. The games (for all intents and purposes) are rated equally. It's a virtual tie.
You, however, don't want to acknowledge that factually, there is a minor lead... and that minor lead goes to the 360. I'm not sure why that's so hard for you to come to grips with... I mean, the PS3 version *was* in the lead, and I fully acknowledged it... hell, more reviews could come in and it would change again... but the point is - another member on this forum suggested that the PS3 version was the 'undeniable winner' because of the statistical advantage it had early on... I suggested that we wait a month before declaring an 'undeniable winner'... and now we've waited a month - and it's clear - it's virtually a tie... to argue anything more is silly... but to deny the numbers, and claim that your opinion about the matter is fact is also pretty ludicrous.

The vast majority of the ratings are now in, though, and one thing is clear - they're equal. There isn't a stand-out version (like with some of the other cross platform games).
All the petty arguments, and silly bickering about anything more is pretty useless.
Martycrane posed a challenge and lost... but as he mentioned, both platforms win with GTA:IV. It's great on both platforms... and that's what's important... not the .2% difference, or the supposed 'flawed' data.
