My first one (early on, before the repair backlog built up), took 3 weeks, my 2nd took 6 weeks, anecdotally it's still around 6 weeks in Europe.

Guys honest question

My XBOX 360 got to them yesterday for RROD repair. This morning they shipped it back already.

Does that mean:

1)they fix these really quick
or
2)they are giving me a different one back that's already fixed?

Here's my timeline:

05/22/08: Died, Entered Support Request by Email
05/27/08: Coffin arrived
05/28/08: I shipped my 360 off to TX
06/03/08: My 360 arrived at the TX repair facility
06/04 or 05 (can't remember)/08: They shipped it off to me
06/10/08: I got my 360 back

I received the same Xbox 360 that I sent off. It had the same serial # and manufacture date.

It now says my xbox is "in warranty".

It's a DEC 2006 xbox, so it has been out of warranty for a while.
Do I now have another year warranty?

After I received my 360 I checked xbox.com and it said my 360 was now under warranty and that warranty had an expiration dated 3 months from the date they fixed it. So it looks like they give you a 3 month warranty after it's been repaired.

a buddy of mine that works for 360 call center...well they actually moved up to handling MS accounts ...lol data entry thing (not customer service, but dealing with the companies MS may have short/mispayed over the years, instead of 360 claims).

but yeah, when your 360 RROD's... bitch, and complain, in a smart way, specially if it's more than once this has happened, and you should get some free goodies and have it expidited. generally, if it's your 3rd RROD , they'll speed up the process and throw some shit in there.
