BTW the 360 isn't in third place in this years sales because its also been outsold in 2008 so far by the PS2, PSP and DS so its actually in sixth place (or fourth if you only include home consoles).

Selling the 360 for nearly half the price of the PS3 and still being outsold by it tells you all you need to know really.

we might be hearing about supply constraints in europe for the 360

Well there are no supply constraints, there are 360's stacked up on the shelves where ever you go.

    Oh dear.
The GT5P release date was broken by a lot of stores here in Athens. I'm guessing something similar happened in the UK as well.
Not that Sony would ever condone something like that to ruin Microsoft's first price-drop week

Other than that, increased sales all around due to the Easter holiday.

Right, just another continent that bends over for Sony. It would appear the US has followed suit starting in 2008!

It's all fair game. They can release their own games whenever they want.

Nope, no reports to support that at all.

    See previous response.

    For both platforms?

While that may be true, Sony seems to be the biggest fan of market manipulation.

Kinda like how hard Microsoft wanted to push Bungie into releasing Halo 3 at the PS3's release before Bungie told 'em "Nope" hehe.

I don't know, it was just a suggestion. I haven't checked any british forums, but it would be smart from their part to take advantage of the whole Easter period and stick it to Microsoft at the same time.

Well, for all platforms, didn't you read the OP?

Nintendo’s mega-selling Wii and DS also saw significant rises, despite stock concerns.

    WEEK-ON-WEEK HARDWARE SALES

    360 - Up 78 per cent
    PS3 - Up 73 per cent
Wii - Up 37 per cent
DS - Up 32 per cent
PSP - Up 10 per cent

Did you guys ever think that maybe since hddvd died people are investing in bluray players now? I mean how many dual platform games or even ps3 exclusive games have sold higer numbers than 360 games. Gaming wise its still a joke. I know, mine sits until I surf the interweb or watch blu-ray. MG4 is probably the only game I will ever buy for it.

Well you may think that MGS4 will be the only game ever worth buying, but other people have bought software and there ARE titles that PS3 owners are excited for, and rightly so. This year has a lot more than just MGS4, just gotta open your mind to it and give the titles a chance instead of just dismissing them.
